I feel like I’m flying a completely different sim to you folks and on a completely different Xbox Series X architecture, too.
As I stated prior, I only have the UI/World Map lag/CTD issue and the PC/Xbox reflections flicker mess (And of course all the long-standing issues going way back, but that is irrelevant here).
Beyond that, I’m not having these issues listed throughout this thread. I don’t understand.
@dreampage I watched your A320 videos and I’m dumbfounded. I purposely loaded up a flight from KBUR to KSMF in the A320N to see if I’d have similar problems. I’m not — at all. Did you have a 3rd party livery selected, at the time? I’m running the stock Airbus factory livery, because I know that, for reasons that are absolutely bonkers, liveries contain data that can break an aircraft. If an aircraft’s base model (i.e. code) is changed, that can cause liveries to break and thus break the aircraft until they are updated, too.
I’m honestly amazed at how well the sim is running for me amongst all these posts from you all and the growing number of new forum users creating accounts to just come here and chime in with their horror stories, too.
I’m even running this sim-only Xbox I use via WiFi! I don’t even have an Ethernet cable connected to it directly and my router is in a far away part of my house. I’ve got all the sliders set down to 15, because I’ve always felt the traffic was ridiculously overdone at the small regional/municipal airports where I like to fly in/out of. I’ve got all online data turned on except multiplayer. I have the cache off. I have no 3rd party airports or birds or sea vessels. I’ve only got the enhanced airport graphics and regional airport vehicles. I’ve got a growing number of 3rd party aircraft, but none of the known terrible ones.
I’m terrified to jinx this here, but minus the World Map/UI, this is the best I’ve seen the sim in months. I keep starting a new day of flying thinking it’s going to be all screwed up, but it hasn’t happened (yet!).
I’m still thinking this HAS to be server related and/or the files for the sim that are located on mirrored servers near your geographical locations have corrupted files and you’re installing those corrupted files, which is why a reinstall/factory reset/etc. isn’t fixing the issues.
How else can this be explained?
