Severe Problems on Xbox After Sim Update 9

Would you consider joining the beta so that the devs can track down the root cause of some of these CTDs?

Maybe not related with su9 I am not sure but whenever I connect my Xbox to 55 Sony 4k and try to fly I am having problems with the sound. I connect my headphones to the controller with cable, which is ath_m50. A reference monitor headphone that doesn’t need too much output to drive. But it "stutters’ so bad. Crackling All The time. İ usually connect My Xbox to 4k LG monitor which is entry level and plug My headphones to monitor’s audio output, and no problems with the headphones or my studio monitors (presonus Eris series)

Anyone having Same problem?
Thank you.

Registered to the beta test today and I will make sure to send A LOT of crashes for them EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Just like a ā€œrevenge feelingā€! :joy:

Yesterday, in order to get two achievements, I let the plane on AI for more than 8 hours. Woke up and the game was running like 5 FPS.

After another hour, AI crashed the airplane, but thankfully I still got those achievements.

The game didn’t crash. I only had World Updates and Microsoft/Asobo add-ons. Also, wasn’t running beta yet.

In frustrating situations like these, I can only image there won’t be any report sent, right?

Let me guess. One of those was from LFBD to KSEA :yum:

Frequent Flyer Miles achievement in Microsoft Flight Simulator (trueachievements.com)

I’m waiting for that one till the Sim is in a much more stable state.

That achievement can be done in an hour with the Darkstar now. :slightly_smiling_face:

A bunch of incompetent dummies, these are the ones working on this dumb dumb dumb game! Nothing works anymore, ILS landing out of order, fourth test I do, it’s nonsense. Your latest Beta update sucks. I resell everything and I take care of your advertising.

I just got a 3.34gig update…anybody else get this…?

Anybody know what this is all about…?

Have you signed up for the beta testing?

The pfs drop is gross. and YES, I have joined the beta…I’d say it’s almost worse here.

Don’t forget the Beta is just a SW version of the current public version with some debug hooks added. These debugging add-ins cost a tiny bit of performance and enables MS/Asobo to debug the CTDs happening and hopefully the blank displays as well. Overall you should still have the same amount of CTDs than before just that they can be debugged. :+1:

This happens when you leave the performance beta. Did you?

Yes I left the beta because I realized they’re gonna fix stuff anyway and I’m not having any major issues like everybody else so why be part of it, mistake on my part signing up. In August when SU10 comes out MSFS will automatically update anyway.

That’s your decision . I’m not having that much of issues either (except CTD’s with 3rd party stuff), but will continue to participate to send the team feedback in case of a CTD or blank screen etc. The performance impact is minimal, so why not.

I have no 3rd party stuff or addon’s (nothing installed from the content manager either) just the basic Premium Deluxe installed. My only gripe is the turbulence thing its just a bit overkill, that, and some stuttering over heavily populated cities. Also no sound on the Asobo flash screen, but I have sound on the Ai Shark flash screen. Other than that’s its working fine on Xbox.

Having suffered from CTDs since at least SU8, I joined the beta test for Xbox. It could be a coincidence, but one thing I’ve noticed since joining is that I’m again getting a lot more CTDs while setting up my flights on the world map. That’s very frustrating to experience, but at least Asobo should be getting the info they need now with each crash.

even before SU9 i had constantly CTDs (i play on series x and i fly airliners, 2-3hour flight)
they happened every second or third flight and mostly on approach when i was close to the runway

i quit playing the sim in march because it was unplayable, but now i gave it another chance.
i did 3-4 flights (b747, a320) and i had just some small stutters and no CTD at all (wow!)
but this time i deleted my rolling cache before and set it up from 8gb to 16gb
and because i have no xbox live gold subscription atm i play without online players, just live-ai and live weather … maybe the CTD got caused by the rolling cache or the multiplayer before?

sadly, even if i dont had CTDs for the moment, the default a320neo is bugged, when flying ILS the STAR route disappears when i approach and the autopilot goes directly to the airport

Thats your opinion, for many its not that bad, Bye Bye

Hi @JunkDouglas44 this is an update that installs if you leave the Beta which brings you back to the current version of the flight sim.

Here is what MSFS said when you leave the beta:

5. Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator and you’ll be prompted with an update (about 3.5 GB) which will roll you back to the current public version (1.26.6.0).
