Severe Problems on Xbox After Sim Update 9

Its comments like yours that push people away from the Forums. Like really…? Thanks. Nice to see someone keeping track of the forgetful repetition. I could metaphorically answer but I won’t because I’m a gentlemen.

Peace out !

I’d love to know the traffic from this debug version of the sim - is it like a report every hour or 100 reports an hour?

Crash reporting should be baked into the sim I feel

It’s a report for every crash. If the sim doesn’t CTD then it won’t send anything.

So I now also signed up (did take a while here in Europa until the “Beta” was available) . Did a first flight and got the first CTD after 5 minutes (on XBox). This is a whole new way to do fs2020: now you’re eager to get a CTD and - as a bonus - may be a blank display even?! I love it!:sweat_smile::laughing:

Thats what i meant - how many crash reports are they seeing?

Are you using the (absolutely outstanding) Santos Dumont Airport and Rio de Janeiro scenery from Paulo Ricardo?

It has so many crashes, unfortunately, and I have been talking with him recently. His latest update was made to try to end the issues, but I feel it got worse.

He also don’t know what else to do and I told him about Xbox Series X issues and Microsoft also investigating, so it’s probably not his fault. He says it doesn’t crash on PC, by the way.

Since we can’t manually add mods and test them, it becomes difficult even for them to do a more precise analysis. They depend exclusively of Flight Simulator developers testing the mod before making the updates available.

I can only imagine that even for Asobo guys it’s crashing.

This is excactly why we have the stability beta test

No, i don’t have that one. I have a few airports from FlyTampa and Justsim wich causes CTD’s all the time, so i’m going to reinstall those today and stresstest. But, i offcourse DO want to fly from time to time(duhh) so i will keep those for a couple of days and hopefully send some crash reports back to them, but eventually i wil remove them again so i can fly again…

Just had 2 CTDs and I think that is going to be a trace or something sent as the sim crashes. What if the displays go blank? Just had that but not CTD after that. Is this to be recognised essily as well? Usually I just have to restart the sim …

Update: after 2 hours “collected” 4 CTDs and 2 “displays go blank” …

On Series X with additional airports I face most of my CTD’s. I especially bought Ankara Esenboga, İzmir, Bodrum, Dalaman and Antalya airports to fly thru some of the important touristic airports in Türkiye. But no luck. Esenboga and Antalya airports mostly crash immediately.

Now, after joined test program I have reinstalled them all (other airports and scenes too) and will try to fly those areas to send more reports with different planes.

I’m installing Ankara Esenbogo by scenerytr design as well at the moment…I guess I’m having a CTD within 2 minutes…

Anyone else suffer from the plane falling from the sky at high altitude. This has happened twice today already. The game pauses by itself and upon me resuming the plane spirals out of control.

Were you present? I had this twice this week - long flight, AP on, went to get a coffee, came back to find it paused, un-pause and crash. Second time was shorter and i managed to get back just to see the system go into pause, i unpaused it and saved the plane.

Seems there is a 10-minute or so delay when if no user input the sim pauses itself.

Sometimes I’m away for half an hour or even longer, plane on AP and no problems.

This was off course before joining the beta…

I think this is probably due to the higher data required. Sounds obvious I guess but I’m no expert when it comes to programming. All I know is that I was able to do flights with a very average FPS number. I have tried to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore 6 times today, CTD every time. Both major airports with what I assume would be a high amount of game data.

I find that if…and it’s a big if…I can get into the air, the frame rate pics up and it runs ok, not great, but ok. As soon as I get on my approach and below 1000ft though I usually CTD.

I have that too: it is definitively a problem with the automatic pause! To me it looks like that if you resume in this situation the throttle (and speed) is at 0… for whatsoever reason. You can recover eventually but recovering a spinning a320 is not easy … mind the passengers. However you can immediately after you “unpause” press the ingame “active pause” button, adjust the throttle lever, the autothrottle button and whatever doesn’t seem right then unpause… and hope for the best :+1:

FPS is now terrible even at altitude (I’m not on the beta). Game is now just unenjoyable. Going to switch it off now as I’ve just had a CTD upon initial descent after a fairly short flight and to be honest that’s the straw that breaks the camel’s back for today.
Never had an issue with this sim until the last couple of months. This product just consistently gets worse it seems

Are you on the debug/test program??

With al due respect, you should participate in this performance beta test. You are among the people who complain a lot, and I respect that, but why are you not participating in something that could help to resolve all of our issues?
