Hi, any flight I do, during approach, I get a freeze of the sim of about 5 to 10 seconds (I use the Fenix, haven’t tried with other airplanes), at altitudes around 5000 to 2000 ft. I also reinstalled the whole sim (PC) but the issue is still present. Anyone else experiences this? Thanks!
Hi @Jumbojam2385 ,
We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.
The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.
If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.
If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.
All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.
There is an existing main topic for that issue:
If you have the MSFS cache enabled in your options, delete or disable it.
Also try with other MSFS base aircraft to determine if the issue is only with the Fenix A320 or not.
Are you on ms-store or steam or Xbox ?
Hi, I don’t think it’s the same issue. I don’t have “stutters and freezes”, but only one, long freeze of 5 to 10 seconds during approach in flights that usually last about 30 to 60 minutes, after which the sim recovers normally. I don’t have default liners, only Cessna (I removed all airplanes I don’t use), so it’s not possible to test it with a default airplane. I don’t have cache enabled and my FS is from Xbox store.
Check your graphics level isn’t mega high. I keep mine on the normal setting and rarely have lag (I play on Xbox)
The one time I had this, clearing the cache solved it. It’s worth a try.
I don’t use cache.
My sim runs smoothly, but that 5-10 seconds freeze is a constant in every flight from A to B where B is at least 2-300 Nm far away. If for example I takeoff from A and return to A after say 15 minutes, everything is smooth.
I think i just found out what causes msfs to freeze in my situation. If you have the nvidea overlay and take screenshots using alt+F1 msfs freezes completely. This happened now for the second time for me. So no more screenshots using alt+F1!
Never taken screenshots and my FS doesn’t freeze completely, just ONE TIME around 5-10 seconds and only during approach, than recovers normally. Anyway, what is Nvidia overlay?
If you have an Nvidia graphics card with the nvidea app go to settings in the nvidea-app and turn off nvidea-overlay. This could cause msfs to cause problems…
