Hello,
My sim was working just fine until the required update today. Now I get to the New Activities screen (bar at bottom at 75%) then the sound stops and I get a CTD.
I’ve ensured that all apps are closed with same result.
I’ve rebooted the machine and retried with exact same CTD result.

Can also confirm with Navigraph Data removed, sim starts as normal.

The only safe thing you can do is allow it to continue.
If you use Navigraph, uninstall it before you try the sim again.

Thank you, that’s what I’ve been doing for an hour now. 
Then what’s the point of using the sim if you can’t use Navigraph? How about Asobo first test their update before launching it?!

You can still use the sim without Navigraph. It has AIRAC 2409 included, though to be fair not the same as Navigraphs. This would only be a measure until a permanent fix is delivered. You would probably be surprised how many people don’t use Navigraph, and some may not even have heard of them.

You can still use the sim with Navigraph, just not with the Navigraph-provided AIRAC (which doesn’t matter because the sim is on the same AIRAC cycle). So calm down.

Has the sim gone past the update stage?
If so, Ctrl Alt Delete and shut down the sim.
Mine froze at that point, and that’s what I did.
