The problem seems seems to have been resolved after Patch 3.
It takes 5-10 seconds now. I hear a quick audio ‘glitch’ (for lack of a better term) but the sim unloads as expected.
Same issue here.

Problem seems to be fixed now by turning down the boost clock speed for my card in Adrenalin to the default AMD value of 2430 MHz for my card.
It was set much higher at 2580 MHz (even higher than value reported by Asrock). Not sure why that happened as I did not increase it.

I reinstalled today and now it finally works.
I also had the issue. But I thought it is may related to the small Fenix update that was available this week. It was only about some kilobytes. But this (or something else) seems to have it fixed.
I cannot shut down the sim anymore after the latest patch. I need to quit via task manager. PC MSFS2024

After ending a flight via “End Flight” or “Back to the Mainmenu” the Sim crashes and need to shut it down via Task-Manager. It is not possible for me to do more then one flight without restarting the sim. Fix this sh** please…

Confirmed. I am having the same issue. The only way to do anything after this happens is to quit task in task manager.

I will say though, it’s never happened with Fenix. It’ll pause on exiting to the main menu, hangs for a couple of seconds then goes back to the main menu. Fenix offloading from the sim better than the defaults? Wouldn’t be surprised at this point.

I have this issue on Xbox X. Todays update doesn’t seem to have solved it.
Im having the exact same issue, its more of a freeze then a CTD. Unbelievable how this is happening. Was this game even tested
It starts with a freeze. I sometime wait a minute or two, then terminate via taskmanager

Edit: I think it has to do with the Inibuilds-Planes. Can you guys confirm?
The updates didnt fix the problem at all. Testet a few minutes ago and had the same issue again!

I might be wrong but to me it feels like it was much better after patch 2 and then much worse after patch 3 again. Even using the Fenix the Sim freezes every time I want to quit to desktop. Ending a flight works just fine though.
