When I do long sea crossings I usually insert an acceleration of the Sim Rate to shorten the cruising times.
Similarly, in some critical phases of flight it may be convenient to slow down the Sim Rate below the normal speed to have greater control of the maneuvers.
At the moment the only way to make sure that the simulator is running at a speed different from the normal one is to take a look at the cadence of the clock or timers but it is not always easy to understand the actual state, so there is the rule of thumb to slow down the Sim Rate as much as possible and then increase it by four steps to return to the normal speed.
It would be highly recommended. I hope that the developers become aware of the problem and that they find a solution. Thanks
