hello,
thanks for report and compliments, may you see a not complete texture layout.
about radio stack : looking at various pictures around you can see that also in the AMI version there are different layouts of radio, nav, xmtr we choose one.
about anemoter is exactly the military version reported on AFM as you can see on attached screenshot of AFM manual, also marking are correct
In last texture layout all instruments are marked as in AFM, not only engines one.
we will make un upgrade adding EA version of the aircraft which cockpit layout is completely different with several quasi-digital instruments.
about sounds i can partially agree with you, as explained above sounds were sampled from real, both external and internal. However the sim sound engine somehow changes sounds in pitch and cones, so itās very difficult to reproduce it exactly.
However is very hard to judge sounds based on memory, better watch a video of a SIAI 260 and to see if they are close to real or not, revcall that perfection does not exist.
Iāve re-watched your maiden video and the motor start does not sound that bad, itās more when you power up, it sounds like a bad sound-loop.
I did edit my sf-260 video without music just for comparison reasons. The cockpit sound was very noise, but that was because of the action cam.
Performance wise i hope your model does improve also, because the real sf-260 is such a beast, the takeoff run was so powerful, when i compare the takeoff with your video outside i do hope for some adjustments. Will post the Video here in an hour or so.
ciao,
thank you very much for the precise and detailed answers even if a little controversial. My indications werenāt critical but just an attempt to support, I guess itās difficult to create such a product.
As a real pilot, over the years you may forget what an instrument looked like, thatās what pictures exist for, but not how it flew or sounds, I donāt know why.
I am happy that there will be EA version.
I donāt agree with the anemometer, even from the manual it can be seen that only the vne limit is indicated, but I agree with the layout there are many and you only have to choose one.
Once again my congratulations and I will wait for the release date, have a nice day.
Hello,
thanks for report.
About take off performance we use performances tables and make test on these.
I have done a short footage under below conditions:
Temp: 28 CĀ°
GW: 2630 lbs
Sea level
No wind
No RWY slope
Flaps: T/O
RWY: hard surface
Data basis: flight test
Performances table of āTAKE OFF GROUND RUN DISTANCEā (Table A2-2 of AFM) computes a take run distance of 1080 feet.
Footage shows that our SF260 get the predicted take off distance pretty close.

Hello,
after a hard HW failure that has slowed down his work, our painter is again online and is working nicely as you can see on this 50th Anniversay special color.
We are very close to release it.
Iāll be very careful with this considering the history behind the Starfighter and the G91, the G91 landing gear is, as far as I know, still not fixed.
Once, if ever, bugs are ironed out I might try it because the dev produces great looking models, awesome sounds and very good flight models but they are among the worst fixing bugs and updating their products. Iām not going down that road again.
We do not want to make controversy, but until now all the bugs we detected and corrected had their origin in sim updates, updates that often Asobo did not document enough, very difficult to discover and correct.
We have yet to discover one of the G-91, for some reason that we are still investigating the carriage lever does not accept a rect mouse and is therefore insensitive.
We are working on it, but we have suggested a workaround for our users.
We suggested using a sim linked event to a joystick button or key combination without using the mouse on the carriage lever.
We honestly admit that it is a limitation even if it does not prevent you from using the model, we are working on it even if it is not a priority right now.
But it is also the only unsolved bug, It seems exaggerated to condemn all our work just for that. But we do not presume to satisfy all our users, we will get over it.
