It would be great if you could integrate the Simbrief app/function/integration into the EFB of MSFS 2024 in the game, just like it works on the PC. This would guarantee that the in-game animations for boarding and refueling (passengers + fuel truck visible) would be easier to implement in conjunction with Simbrief. I know that this is only possible if third-party content is approved for PS5. I hope that you will be able to implement this in the future so that more options and more realism are available on PS5 as well…
I think the area where console users lose out here is the ability for importing weight data from SimBrief with one click, especially while the weights management tools in the EFB can be a challenge to work with.
I definitely support the addition of the SimBrief EFB app to the Marketplace!
Yes I know. But it would be smarter and easier to use integrated in the in-game EFB in combination with the animations of passengers and refuelling on ground without clicking especially on the ATC buttons. Also it would be more realistic to get the correct weights (passengers, baggage and fuel) into GA aircraft which don’t have integration of simbrief like some airliners (inibuilds EFB).
I only fly commercial aircraft. I do my planning with Sim Letter and Navigraph. Then I save the data and open it with the Flight Planner. With this I can upload the data and then load it from the web in the EFB. This works quite well on the PS5 so far, but only the route and no performance data is loaded into the SIM. But I then import them via the aircraft’s internal system.
Hallo,
Moderator edit:
That’s exactly the problem with the matter, just out of round. For a realistic experience with correct calculations and animations, it is better to do everything via Simbrief app on the in-game EFB.
@RHaa2023 what do you mean exactly: “But I then import them via the aircraft’s internal system.” ?
It is a big deal. You can not load your pre-made flight-plan in your EFB on PS5, unless you fly a iniBuilds airplane. The game is designed to be able to do that, the PC version can.
There are workarounds to get SimBrief data in your EFB, but it should just be an additional app in the EFB, like PC users have. Not all that complicated I would think.
For now it only fully integrates with iniBuilds airplanes with their own EFB system, that does indeed integrate with SimBrief.
I think it’s possible to integrate in the Microsoft EFB. Maybe in future we will see that, hopefully. Would be very easier and more
immersive.
Since I’m convinced that this is technically possible, I’ve also added an entry about it to the wish list. Please vote for it as much as you can…
