SimShaker for Aviators - Feeld the brrrt

UPDATE FOR BETA USERS

I released a new beta yesterday. I used a completely new build pipeline and thus feedback would be good if everything works on your side… I would like to release a new stable soon

I got some reports that the new beta deletes the your settings. Please make a backup and report, if it really deletes the files!

Update: I just released a new beta 2.2.10 which ‘should’ fix that issue. Before update, please take a backup of your settings either by export or screenshots!

Update can be downloaded at: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AldPAmClTeGqcPhSkJhHNXS4pRM ← Auto updater will not work in this case…

Unfortunately the new FS Realistic appears to conflict with SimShaker sound module…

UPDATE

After installing a patch from Andre SimShaker this afternoon, FS Realistic is back on my menu!
The most recent unpatched update from SimShaker messed up and deleted user settings, which appears to have caused the terrible vibrations. At this early stage of experimenting, all looks OK. The timing of the patch with the release of FS Realistic is unfortunate. Enjoy FS Realistic SimShaker pilots but do look for the patch from Andre over at SimShaker. I would still recommend ‘try before you buy’ it’s a great option to have

Thanks for sharing this. Their website says it compliments the Buttkicker so I was looking forward to getting it but it seems there are some issues with the sound module as you have posted. Hopefully the sound module guy Andre gets wind of this and updates his software ?

I have yet to try FS Realistic without the SimShaker module running, I have just thought of this however, that would defeat the object of having the SimShaker software in the first place. I will have to experiment a lot more with both of these modules running.

There is nothing in the FS Realistic manual that suggests that there could be a problem and neither does it say anything about complimenting or running with the SimShaker sound module.

I guess you mean the SSA patch? It’s from f4l0, the SSA dev and not Andre

On the other side, a virtual sound mixer like Voicemeter might be handy do control the volume of different audio sources

Hi i am using SSA 2.2.10 beta, in MSFS the RSP R44 defaults to generic piston engine? how can i get it to work as a generic helicopter?

SSA looks for the engine types if it is a helicopter, might be that the R44 Mod uses there something “new”…
I added it on my todo list…

Ok, thanks the same applyes for hpg145 and the bell 47g, they also defaults as piston engine. The only one that gets it right as helicopter is hpg135.

Well the engines on the r44 and bell47 are piston type but maybe you could ad an option to overide this so ssa will use the helicopter ssa profile?

Yeah, I’ll have a look after I released a new stable version…

I just uploaded a new beta:

Version 2.2.11.0 – beta release

  • Added .NET framework 4.8 as prerequisit for installer and application

Unfortunately the Sound Module is again not available to buy on the store, any idea how to get it?

Hey, I still see myself as using SSA 2.26 beta. Is this not the most up to date? It says it’s up to date in the text log window, but don’t see 2.2.11.0.

You can get the latest beta here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AldPAmClTeGqcPhSkJhHNXS4pRM

Thank you!

whats the best way to install this latest beta version - is it just put it over the top of the existing version and will it let me keep my old settings?

It’s always a good idea to take some backups of your settings, either by exporting, screenshots or manual paper-based copy

However, you can install the new beta right away, the installer will “remove” the old files and copy the new files…

thanks (updating this so I can use the buttkicker with FS realistic software)
1)does the simshaker sound module (I am running 2.26) need to be updated and if yes do you have a link?
2)For simshaker for aviators - currently running 2.2.0.0 - do I need to run the latest beta 2.2.11 to get the FS realistic to work with the buttkicker?

that was the reason for the 2.2.11 beta.

I don’t have the FSRealistic addon, thus I can not verify… And, I’m not the dev of the sound module…

The latest beta is 2.2.11 but I plan to release a new stable today. I didn’t got much of feedback thus I assume the beta is fine… However, as always, take backups of you settings

Hi everyone,
My buttkicker should be arriving in a few days, I have FS realistic installed on msfs, so do I need to get the latest beta, as I think I installed the stable version.
Thanks.
