Me too. My game crashes today. It worked yesterday in the evening!
Must be Gremlins.
Had this happen as well, same ntdlll.dll error. Unplugged my HOTAS and tried again and worked fine.

For the moment it is launching although I did nothing.
Scratch that, now it’s back to crashing at the black screen.
Disabling the realtime virus protection totally worked for me.
No need to disable real-time protection.
Try my solution.
In windows seacrh bar type
powershell
right click on powershell and select run as administrator
Copy/paste to powershell window
Add-MpPreference -ExclusionProcess “flightsimulator.exe”
(right click to paste into powershell window)
and press enter
Copy/paste to powershell window
Add-MpPreference -ExclusionProcess “GamingServices.exe"
(right click to paste into powershell window)
and press enter
Copy/paste to powershell window
Add-MpPreference -ExclusionProcess “GamingServicesNet.exe"
(right click to paste into powershell window)
and press enter
Run game.

This still does not work for me.
Gaming Services patch [ 2.47.5001.0 ] unfortunately does not solve the problem.
I also installed the latest Security Intelligence Update for Defender… Same thing 
Same problem here.since afternoon I can’t start. In the „Japan Setting“ loading theme it always crushed…Powershell, anti virus …nothing works…
I do all usefull Tricks and not Working

If you are experiencing an issue with MSFS, remove modifications: liveries, airplanes ect
Microsoft why the heck aren’t you fixing this right away? Can’t be too hard to do, you guys know what’s happening! It’s a couple of days now.
Update in from the team: We have heard from the OS team that they have identified the issue and the fix is now in testing with our Flight Sim team. Will provide another update soon!

why is my game not starting all of a sudden, I just restated my computer and still it doesn’t work. can we please fix the game launcher.
