Upon entering the cockpit view, when panning around to view different instruments the simulator freezes, resulting in the user having to open task manager and END TASK. Issue began on 6 Jan 2022, after the first new years update.
What airport do you guys spawn in?
I have this issue since SU7 at Zurich LSZH.
Turning the LOD from 400 down to 300 did the trick for me. A bit frustrating that I canāt use LOD400 on my 3080 Ti in some airports but at least I can fly in and out my homebase again. It works just fine anywhere else in the world with LOD set to 400.
Im having the same issues when i swap tabs like to chrome n back to sim the whole sim freezes n i open up the task manager it says not responding⦠this happen after the new year updateā¦
I had this today after Update in between I flew my pattern in the middle of the flight. I did nothing and it freezes. I pressed ESC and went to the menue. After going back to the flight it worked already. So it was strangeā¦
I get to the home screen and try to plan a flight and when I want to get going it loads and loads and the blue bar gets to the right of the screen⦠but I can no longer fly. It just stops at the end and then I have to shut it down⦠also after the last updateā¦
That happened to me on 4-5x leaving from Zurich this AM. Itād been months since Iād flown out of or into there, so I didnāt know of any bugs. What you described happened to me every time on that trip out of there. I finished Naples to Marseille an hour or so ago, and that worked just fine. Try leaving from a different airport. I wouldnāt doubt if thereās others with the same issue scattered around the globe. Good luck!
Seems like that in my case, the freezes are always related to the cockpit freelook actually. I donāt use freelook much, maybe 1-2 times per flight, semi-accidentally, when flying without AP and fiddling my thumbs. 3/4 last freezes were 1-2s after going to freelook mode.
What? This is still not fixed? I played SU5 quite a bit and didnāt have this issue. Now 4 out of 5 flights have ended in a lockup. This also happens without using the mouse. I have freelook bound to my controller. Sometimes used to get rid of the dot cursor.
It may well beā¦but there are other things out there causing freezes for some users like the Zürich freeze (never had that one myself, but as we all know, we each have seem to a āuniqueā experience in MSFSā¦). So to the posters here, do the checks - unmap NPP or toggle freelook hold and if itās still freezing up on you then make sure to log a new bug report!
Iām having a similar issue with the latest January 2022 update, but no CTD. The game just freezes for about a minute and then continues working. CPU usage is still normal so itās not like other times when the whole thing crashes and goes to 0%. For me it is related to the SDK and reading SimVars. I notice that it mostly happens when I connect my Logitech Flight Multipanel or when I connect my Teensy and SimConnect client that reads a bunch of SimVars. This didnāt happen before the update.
I can confirm this behaving. I had this 3 times now. One minute freezing with activity from the CPU but no CTD and then it works again without any troubles!
