SimWorks Studios announced development of Kodiak 100

Got mine from JustFlight. You earn points/money off with purchases with them and I money in my account :grinning:

High idle is max. The condition lever changes the min gas generator speed. It’s not a mixture control. Use low idle for taxi and high (max) idle for take off and all other flight regimes. You don’t go to low idle again until after landing.

Ok, thanks, so while low idle range is only the small notch besides the low idle print text and high idle state is when you max the condition lever out to the end of it’s travel, not just keeping it by the high idle print text.
I don’t have experience with turboprops that’s why I got confused.

Anyone try landing at Bugalaga? That’s interesting. and shows how the Kodiak really wants to rotate on to its tail. Keeping the yoke fully forward helps. Even then something feels odd. Its like its dancing around on its main gear like they are pogo sticks. Its quite unlike the Caravan in that regard. It’s almost as if the plane has no mass, even though I was only 200lbs below MTOW.

Can’t buy this direct, it doesn’t show up as available on the SWS website

what about if you use this link? https://simworksstudios.com/kodiak-100-wheels-for-msfs.html

They seem to have taken it offline

says 404 error when going to that link

So it does, I had the page open from earlier, just hit refresh and 404. Perhaps they’ve pulled it cos they’ve found something wrong, or the site is overloaded?

Probably. I’ll wait, I want to buy direct so they get all the well deserved revenue, and I don’t want to pay more for it from another site.

It’s available on Simmarket:

Yeah, they announced on Discord that they’re taking it down temporarily to allow folks that already purchased to get their downloads. They’ve been overwhelmed with traffic.

more than 10 euros over SWS’s price, not prepared to pay a mark-up like that

12 eur more
I managed to get it just before it went offline.

It’s a highly anticipated aircraft. I’ll bet they’re thrilled with the response from the community.

I can wait. I want to buy from them directly so they get 100% of the proceeds from the sale.

How did the CoG look like on the payload screen? The blurb says they had the help of real Kodiak pilots, so maybe it’s like that IRL?

I hope they make a fortune. I’m still waiting for ORBX to list it.

Thanks for the custom and very good point about the Reward Points to use for future purchases. WE sold a heck of these in the first hour or so, the JF website did suffer slightly but all good now. Apologies for any issues.

I’ve used them on several occasions, most recently on the excellent Warrior II.
