SimWorks Studios Kodiak 100 one the best aircraft for MSFS 2020

Sorry I just had to make sure as my Spitfire wingman the other day had endless crashing too and despite his reluctance to turn off GPU scheduling it was what fixed it a few days later after he debugged everything else  Best I can suggest now is rename that community folder and let the sim boot without one and create a new one. Run it with zero mods and if that doesnā€™t work unplug everything and see where that problem is coming one by one as annoying as it might be.

If itā€™s just KODI I would try and delete the aircraft state files too which are stored in a separate hidden folder in your user\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.flightsim_.\localcache\simobjects\airplanes and like I just did do a full uninstall (I kept the cameras.cfg) and then reinstall. There are three folders for every plane. Good luck and hope you get it sorted keep us up to date! Also test without AI traffic of any kind it has always caused random crashes for me.

This has solved the issue!! Complete removal and uninstall then re-installation has solved my crashing issues with the Kodiak 100 and I am finally in the air in this beauty. Thank you so much!!

Now to get those screens turned down!

Thanks again.

Need some help on how to taxi: the Kodiak even accelerates very fast with 0 throttleā€¦ Any suggestions on how to Set, throttle, prop and mixture to not get a ticket for speeding on the runway?

Itā€™s not your throttle. You need to use your brakes to stop it rolling in certain situations. It can happen in low idle as well.

Taxi in low idle. Nudge the throttle forward a bit, reduce to idle, brake a touch if necessary. Only move the condition lever to high idle when youā€™re lined up.

When you feel that you are starting to get too fast, put the prop into beta range until you slow to a more manageable speed.

i dont have the Kodiak. thought it also comes with analog gauges, but when i now google it, i only can find glass cockpitsā€¦
is there also a model with analog gauges?

thanks

Not in real life, as far as I know. You can try a Google image search to confirm, and also check the manufacturers own website.

The first Kodiak was delivered in 2008. It is a new design and always came with a glass cockpit. There is no ā€œsteam gaugeā€ Kodiak.

I believe the early model may have had a couple of analog backup instruments - but they disappeared with the Kodiak II .

Yep the Kodiak has always been a glass cockpit from day one.

Does this aircraft support ai auto trim?

It models the way the real aircrafts adjust trim with flap movement if that is what you are referring to.

No Iā€™m on about the ai auto trim in the assistance settings so I donā€™t have to constantly manually trim the aircraft

No idea. I just turn on the autopilot.

Three clicks, YD, then VS then AP and it will hold straight and level fine. You can then dial in an altitude and change VS up or down and it will climb or descend to the new altitude switch to altitude mode and hold it.

Hmmm well supposedly Auto-trim should work on all GAs when you turn it on, just like auto-rudder and the other assistance options. Donā€™t see why it wouldnā€™t work on the Kodiak. When i fly it again iā€™ll try it and let you know.

And turning on AP for a few moments is another way to autotrim the plane. I can confirm that works fine.

I sat in a Kodiak cockpit

Itā€™s the only plane that could fit me

Kodiak on xbox with nxi still ctd under beta su9. This is going to be broken for a long time.

Iā€™m getting ctds on flight loading when trying to start the kodiak cold and dark on pc as well. If I load a flight in the air first then I can load on the ground with no issue. I think there is something up with the nxi and this plane
