Going back to my throttle image, right now the 0 point on the 1 to -1 scale is where the red 0 is, rough guess as I cannot see the VC lever move.
Where I would want it to be is where the green 0 is, which matches my physical throttle. Right now this is pretty much unflyable me as I have to keep looking at the throttle to check whether I am at the new idle ādetentā half way through the axis.
Thatās what I donāt understand. It supported beta range fine before. Now it doesnāt anymore. The exact opposite what it was supposed to do, isnāt it?
There was no beta range before in MSFS, it was not even supported. What happened was that the sim put the prop to full reverse and the lever controlled Ng%.
The new code gradually sets the propeller pitch as needed and controls Ng% at the same time.
I grabbed the bundle offer. Amphib is really awesome. Pretty challenging to land juggling many balls to get things right but it behaves very well on the water (steering control). Good job I say!
Is there a way to stop the lady telling me the āgear is up for water landingā? I know it isā¦ Iāve got 110% focus on that exact taskā¦ I donāt need her telling me that! Even after we landed and stopped she was still going on about it lol
For what itās worth the beta controls work just like I expected (same as other TPās with my controls; Logitech TQ) I have the down from notch set to toggle āon releaseā then I move the lever forward again for reverse thrust. Back down to the notch to cancel it and return to normal. Please whatever you might change regarding the above conversations, allow it to still work this way too
The heart of the beta range will not change. This is right and a first. What we want to do is allow people to use SPAD/AAO/FSUIPC and if we can, we will do it.
Regarding thhe warnings, they loop like IRL. To silence them use the respective ācancelā buttom next to the gear lights. Itās in the manual.
Throttle and reverse work fine here, but I have all vanilla controls with a Saitek X52 Pro.
My problem is that the speed displays funny on the ESI-500 backup instrumentā¦
Notice how the IAS is 128kts and correctly displayed on the Garmin, while in the ESI-500 the ā2ā digit is displayed one line below.
Donāt know. I normally prefer to buy from Just Flight and waited most of the day for it to appear on their website. I finally gave up, made an account with SWS and bought it direct. The purchase went very smoothly and the price was great. No regrets. I will now buy direct from SWS again. I can think of no reason not to.
I bought the Amphibian. Only spent an hour with it so I have loads to learn. Fantastic aircraft. Love the flight model and that you can feel the weight of the floats. I now see why everyone has been raving about the wheeled version. Might buy that as well at some stage. Great job.
Unfortunately, Iām kind of stuck with JustFlight because thatās where I bought the wheeled version, long ago. Hoping they have a way to honor the discount on the Flotiac version.
