Is that floatie or wheelie? Also I notice that you are a good 190ft-lbs from maximum power. Is the bypass on?
True, but Asobo is a law unto itself. And they got to deal with XBOX and as I understand it, that is MS fault. I dont know, but why has OrbX got it? they are usually a day behind.
Hello! Iām using the Airbus TCA Quad, but with this latest update the throttle is acting up. Itās inverted and reverse doesnāt work anymore. Iām not using FSUIPC. When I fly other planes itās acting as itās used to so it seems I need to configure something specifically for the Kodiak? If so, what and where? Iām trying different axis but none reach idle and certainly not reverse Any help would be very appreciated.
Iām not the guy you asked, but Iām definitely seeing an issue that might be similar. No matter how I set the Engine Inlet switch, the annunciator always displays ENG INLET NRM. It says this whether itās in Normal or Bypass, and my torque also stays well below max.
To be fair, Iāve bought a lot of stuff from Just Flight over the years and found them very reputable. I would be very confident personally that you will get the discount. I also think the Float version will soon appear on their Store. Donāt worry
This might be coincidence but try doing a cold and dark start on the regular Kodiak and if that works try it again. I was having trouble starting it over and over again, same thing where I couldnāt get ng above 20 and ITT wasnāt rising when I turned mixture to low idle, then I started up the (updated) tundra cargo Kodiak just fine, went back to the amphibious, and it started perfectly.
ā¦aaaaand it broke again on the next flight. Worked again after another wheeled start. Hm.
Iāve tried to draw up an image of the throttle situation. I had to massage the figures a little in Excel to get the visual representation correct so I will only included the graph.
With the TQ6+ throttle, whose raw axis is from +16383 to -16383, mapped to +1 to -1 in SPAD, the idle detent on the throttle rests at around -9100.
Below is an image showing on the left the raw axis, in the middle a rough guess of what SWS are doing regarding beta(?), and on the right what my TQ6+ is doing.
My idle detent is now about half reverse thrust. From memory, full reverse is -25, and I believe the mouse over tooltip reports -15. My placement of the SWS beta range is total guesswork, not backed up by evidence.
Idle on my TQ6+ is now quite far into reverse thrust, while actual idle is some way into the blue area, with no detent to identify it by feel.
Perhaps this could be massaged a little by playing around with the axis mapping, so instead of +1/-1, maybe +1.5/-1? Essentially expanding the forward component until ā0ā sits at my physical idle detent. I have no idea whether that is possible without actually trying it, but it makes sense in my head at least.
Youāre right Iāve corrected the original post.
We have a fix in testing for that. First results are good, waiting for more.
@CaptHawkeye50 the change takes 30 seconds to register from open to closed. You will need to wait, see it change then cycle again.
Also, the torque loss from the separator seems to be 200lbs, which is 4Ć more than the real plane and we donāt have a way of changing it. I will ask again in case Asobo made a change that lets us fix it.
Sounds good!
Though I hope at some point Asobo try to replicate what XP has, with regarding to configuring an axis. You have far more control, and visibility of what is going on there.
I have some issues with the Kodiak Floats, sometimes it stop moving on the ground or I cant start taxiing it. The only way is to press Y and set it to another place. Someone else got this too or know ho to fix that? On these parking positions I used to start my flights and never experienced these issues with other planes.
Seems like iāll stick with the 1.2.2 for a bit longer.
I got this morning an e-mail from Just Flight, that I can buy the Kodiak floatplane with discount because I have already the wheelplane.
Thank You, I havvenĀ“t found my issue in that list. One point is:
Why arenāt the forward wheels turning on the amphibian?
But I havenĀ“t a proplem with turning, I have a problem with moving it at all. Even with full throttle its not moving like brakes are full applied or it is sticking into the ground.
I havenāt read every single post in this thread but there seem to be huge issues with the update. So, whatās the current consensus? Stay on the previous version until the issues get eventually fixed?
same here I think
Sounds like a beta releaseā¦ Iāll wait a while before updating
I fly a Kodi in real life and the sounds are bang on
No issues with either the updated wheeled or the amphib here.
