SimWorks Studios PC-12 (47 and NG)

Sim Update 4 made a major change in how aircraft code is executed, leading to this problem.

Asobo have responded saying a fix is in the works and yesterday gave us a way to fix it ourselves. We did it and are going to take a few days to test if it works well.

SU4 is now out of beta, and I unfortunately still see all the same dealbreaker issues I had with the Simworks PC12. Specifically, AP disconnects (red trim warning on AP test button), and avionics rebooting spontaneously during flight. I notice that others in this thread are experiencing the same issues.

I still can’t post links, but youtube dot com ?v=VJkpa8CGU04&t=1862s shows the issues occurring.

Appreciate any assistance, particularly now that we can’t just blame the issues on SU4 beta.

The cause of issue is with SU4, that is the bad news.

The good news is that Asobo are working on a fix and also gave us a way to fix it ourselves.

Please be more considerate about passing blame fro beta to developer. While we aren’t avoid extra work, we also don’t seek it if it isn’t needed.

An update on the electrical situation, last week we received information from Asobo on how we can fix the problem. The fix is applied and was tested over the past few days. As it was a big code change, we’ll do a bit more testing to ensure everything is good and will try to have it out in time for Christmas.

i see this is sale on the 2024 MP? is it curretly flyable in the sim or electrical bug is still present?

The post literally just above yours is the latest update from the dev

i read that but that does not say how the aircraft affected by it. is it random warning lights popping or something like displays not work? or it does not turn on at all

Do you need to fly it immediately or can you buy it (at a very good price I must say) and then wait for an update if it needs one?

i will grab it with the kodiak after i get off from work, i was just wondering if i can spend new year while flying it on 2024 or not

I have the latest version of the PC-12 in MS 24 but I don’t know how to add fuel. I have tried the fuel section during aircraft setup and the fuel section in the flight planner. I always start with 50% fuel. What am I missing?

You’re adding fuel from the EFB fuel page? Is that before or after you load into the flight?

What are you basing the loaded fuel on. If it’s the EIS display, are you updating the fuel quantity in the EIS with the EIS button that does that.

When you add fuel using the tablet the aircraft carries, them, but it doesn’t know yet. There is a “RESET” button at the bottom of the engine instrument. This will update the fuel-on-board indication when pressed.

Saw the update hit the marketplace. Just took a quick test flight and found that the issues w/ the avionics rebooting and the autopilot disconnecting appear to be resolved. Great work team!

It works now, using the efb on the toolbar menu after I load the flight. Thanks.

It seems that this aircraft is probably one of the hardest to takeoff and land without rudder pedals. Twist axis simply does not cut it and it keeps veering off the runway if you don’t have precise inputs. Also have the kodiak 100 but that one is pretty tame compared to this one. is there a easier way to handle this aircraft on ground?

2 things that made it better for me using the velocity one flight stick
I set my rudder sensitivity to 0.40 which gives it a good curve so around center isn’t as sensitive, play around with this number to find what you like. and there is a secret click spot on the left rudder pedal that switches steering modes. one give 60deg of nose wheel steering which would make it very sensitive around center, the other give it IIRC 12deg nose wheel steering with up to 60deg with differential braking.

with a nice sensitivity curve for the rudder axis and making sure you’re in the 12deg steering mode it is far more tame, not as much as the kodiak but I can hold center on take off and landing.

I posted a video a while back in this thread doing crosswind landings and able to hold center fine

The steering mode helped a bit, still need to adjust my curves better to match the rolling tendencies though. it is far from perfect (but at least can keep it in runway now).

Has anyone had an electrical issue like this? first time it’s happened to me. The GPS would also cycle on and off when this happened
