Since update 6 no atc voice

Have you got the same issue?

I seem to have ATC voice using Azure.

Problem I am having is no Taxi or parking instructions at the destination, only ATC options at that point are for departure again.

Are you not getting taxi/parking instructions at all airports, or just the smaller ones? (smaller/uncontrolled airports don’t normally have specific guidance to parking, other than if there is a working UNICOM (which is not ATC), and they’ll just normally tell you to go to general parking. They generally just have a transient parking pad for people passing through.)

first check if ATC voice is turned on in options- not sure if assists or general or where to find it…

Yes, as I’ve said in some other threads on this, I’m having a similar issue. I fixed it once, but I don’t know how. It’s not that I don’t have voices, it’s that they are SUPER quiet. I have to turn the sound WAY up to barely hear it. I’ve tried all the options (of course turning up the radio for instance), there are sound options that I’m aware of under General/Sound and under Assistances/User Experience.

The sounds did increase to a hearable-ish level with the Sounds/Communications Selection/Communication Output, Default is super quiet.

As I noted, I did get it fixed once. At the moment, my issue is with the Savage Cub on a Unicom channel at a backwoods airport. Unicom was an interesting insight. I’ll have to check some other configurations.

The other thing I did along with upgrading to SU4, I also upgraded Win10 to 21H1

Same here upgrades to all drivers windows everything and can’t hear it at all . Messed with the controls on the plane atc and vhf than it came on once . This happened just after the update. Some say it may be related to the crj ?

If it’s working on communications device but not on default device, double-check that Windows is configured correctly for the type of speaker output you have. For instance it should not be trying to do surround sound if you have stereo speakers; something like that might cause it to be directing most of the ATC voice to a nonexistent center channel or something.

Yes, I’ve checked that, and I have the English voice set installed (I live in the US). I’m wondering if there are other options I need to check in my system (my sound card is my Focusrite Gen 1 6i6 audio interface in stereo)? I did just upgrade to 21H1, too. I wonder if it’s related to that?

No problems with 21H1 here.

Somebody pointed out it might have to do with using Unicom channel, too. I’m in the middle of developing a bunch of backwoods airports in NH right now (adding parking spots mostly, I like to start cold and dark), and haven’t had a chance to check a normal airport in a while.

I found that to hear the ATC voices after it went silent…was to turn on/up the volume on the VHF C radio on the panel of whichever plane you were flying.

As for no ATC ground guidance, that is dependant if the airport you landed at has an MSFS tower frequency. No tower, no ground support.

Did you make sure the volume knobs on the radios are turned up? I noticed that some planes (maybe with certain mods) will have the radio volume turned to 0 when starting cold and dark, so you can interact with ATC via the menu but won’t hear them.
