There is a key bind for Increase one step and Decrease one step. I use those.
That’s a very good point, MDA. I reconsider. Thanks.
Good point.
I had Simbrief open this morning & Fennix, & MSFS CTD. I wonder if Simbrief uses 127.0.0.1?
TG
127.0.0.1 is a local network address. It only references things on your local network. Not on the Internet.
If you are using any of those things like SimConnect or the other one, I forget the name, try turning them off.
I may have found a possible solution. Do you eventually happen to have a Gigabyte mainboard?
When I run task manager, I see that one of the running processes is HCloud.exe, which seems to be an app installed by Gigabyte. When I end that process, and THEN run Fenix app and MSFS, the EFB comes alive. Tried I few times, seems to work consistently on my system.
EFB occupies the IP address of 127.0.0.1, but it is not distinguished by the port number, but the port number is distinguished when the browser is opened, which should be a bug of EFB.
I think I have a Gigabyte MB.
I’ll go & look for that HCloud.exe
BTW, Fenix have indicated some fixes coming tomorrow if they test ok overnight, incl, some EFB fixes.
TG
Update: I checked , have a Gi-- board, but not the HCloud.exe. & my EFB is ok now. Not a solid proof.
Better if EFB wasn’t going & I had the .exe , got rid of it & EFB worked.
Hi. I have an ASROCk MB.
Hopefully Fenix solved this issue.
Thanks.
I’m having the same issue literally the EFB does not turn on so I can power the aircraft at all!!
There is no solution so far in my case. I tried infinite solutions (Admin rights and so on), without success. I think that we have to wait for an update. I opened a ticket yesterday on Fenix website and after 24 hours they still haven’t answered. I think that, as Fenix is able to cash out 49.99 GBP, they need to be able, at the same manner, to answer to tickets!
Same Issue here, I tried also everything without any result, EFB does not work. FMC does not start too, created yesterday a ticket too. Lets hope next patch will fix this ■■■■!
For chinese users,Try the Netease UU booster, it works for me.
I suspect they have been swamped with tickets. I put 1 in 1st night of release & it was answered overnight. Answer was basically start Fenix App, as Admin, 1st, then start MSFS, as Admin. They also suggested SU9 had created the issue.
Only other thing I did was delete A320 Neo from my aircraft line up.
Once I got into the EFB I set the default aircraft load up state as “Ready” & that is working ok now & EFB comes up each time I load .
But getting the EFB to ‘take’ was very frustrating.
You might check File Manager ‘Start Up’ to see if you have a lot of pgms “Enabled” there. If so perhaps try disabling a few to see if it makes a difference. All my Startups are disabled.
TG
Hi. Thank you, but there’s not solution for me so far. I tried infinite combinations of attempts, including the starting sequence as admin and deleting Asobo A320 Neo, FBW A32NX and Aerosoft CRJ. Nothing: it doesn’t work.
It’s a useless aircraft for me.
My apologies in advance if this has already been suggested.
Do you load the Fenix app prior starting MSFS?
IF SO
I had issue with EFB every time I pressed fingerprint…the icons appeared a few seconds, then went back to 4 digit passcode.
The issue was I loaded the Fenix app before I loaded MSFS and Fenix plane. Now I just load MSFS load Fenix…then the desktop app loads automatically…then I could access EFB.
Why apologize? Thanks for your suggestion. You are very kind as the other guys that try to help in the forum.
Yes, I tried to start Fenix app before and one of my combinations is weird: if I start Fenix app before without admin rights, then MSFS with admin rights, I get the aircraft in cold&dark state with the EFB which asks me the passcode perpetually (like it happened to you).
I will try later your last suggestion: starting Fenix app after MSFS is launched.
Thanks.
The Fenix app loads automatically when you load the Fenix aircraft and press the fingerprint on the EFB. You dont need to load the App at all.
I feel your pain, it was driving me nuts…to the point thought I needed a passcode from Fenix.
I tried your suggestion and (as I experimented yesterday too) the Fenix app loads automatically together with the flight.
But the EFB still doesn’t work with these 2 situations:
- if I get all avionics on, then the EFB is dark and it doesn’t switch on.
- if I get cold&dark state, the EFB shows the Fenix logo, then it asks me the passcode. Now, if I go with fingerprint (mouse over button) the EFB shows the icons for one only second, then it asks me another time the passcode.
Yeah that was my issue, My resolution was dont touch the app…just load the aircraft. I Just press the fingerprint dont enter and passcode but I doubt that makes any different.
I feel for ya, must be so bloody annoying…
There is a thread running on Avsim, 'Things Fenix Needs To Fix", & I have added the EFB.
