With all due respect, saying things like “open architecture” regarding MSFS is a little bit… funny, comparing to the actual open architecture of other simulators - this is in terms of weather, traffic, aircraft gauges, etc. This isn’t a dig at MSFS, but… relatively speaking and factually, it’s far from “open”.
What I mean is, Generally speaking…when you can sell trash on the in sim market place, it does not encourage other markets to reject things, or look at them and say hang on… you are selling pay ware for freeware!!
Of course they cant enforce things, but sending a message like always, deters a lot. Anyway hopefully people wont buy this.
No its not the only option at all. The option they have is a very simple one “LISTEN TO THE USERES” How many people have asked for the Kit fox to be removed? How long did it take for the C90 to be updated to actually work? and it still does not.
This Binary open or closed is nonsense, listen to the buyers on the market. Its very easy to discern between review bombing, general moaning or ignorance of use and a flat out bit of garbage. that does not work as advertised.
Enough complaints, it gets checked, and if needs be it is removed until fixed. If customers keep bringing back a certain product to a shop, the shop questions if it should still be on sale in their shop.
But it would also mean honesty from MS when critical product updates are delayed for months.
Ultimately it is MS that will lose out in the end, not Customers, as we can take the risk elsewhere, and generally get our money back, leave reviews that explain the issue which are not buried in forums and get updates often Months before they appear on the store.
I dont know, but if it was me, I would want the in sim store the be the best most reliable place to buy add-ons, and no it does not have to be a binary opened or closed system, it just needs to be clear in its goal and run correctly. Give me the job, Ill have it turned around in months and making far more money…Oh yeah… you can bet on it!!
The problem here is us as the consumer. If the market sees MSFS users buying this tat, it will encourage others.
Realistically, how much effort was put in to that mod, and how much money are they likely to get in return? If they only sell a handful, they are still quids in.
it is sad that we are seen as an easy target in this hobby!
use your brain while buying and you gonna be okay (goes for every purchase)
I’ll rather buy at simmarket then in MP with their updates troubles and weird rating system
Ma-dudes, com’mon!
Reading all your complaints are pff …funny, I guess?!
Vote with your $ and drag less attention for bad products
Tbh all this thread shouldn’t exist, personally found out about this ‘fbw - physics thing’ thanks to it ![]()
The problem is not that it’s hard to get the Marketplace right, the problem is that MS don’t want that. That is my impression.
Why wouldn’t they? It’s their own store front.
Exactly, if some uninformed guy buys this product it is his fault, not simmarket’s.
If an adult does not inform himself before making a purchase, well, he deserves to loose his money.
You are right of course. But as it is now it generates more sales. Will take quite some time until this changes and enough people stay away from the Marketplace.
it isn’t technically open on some of those fronts, but all that stuff has already been hacked into and has mods for.
AS far as gauges all my stuff for spad next and the FIPs, all the aftermarket gauges from fsxtimes, have all worked flawlessly since day 1 of the sims release.
We already have both types of markets represented. Those who want the normal PC wild west experience, can have it, those who want a finely catered and regulated experience.
Can play on xbox.
DC already had to remove the non functional external weapons from their planes for Xbx.
Nope. Still can’t run RealityXP products.
I skip all “products” with the ILLUMINATORS tag.
