It seems there is no way to sort the look book in descending order by date and time in MSFS2024. In MSFS2020 the log was easily presented starting with your latest flight, descending backwards though dates and time within these dates. In MSFS2024 I can get descending dates, but then the time on each day is ascending, or can select descending time, but the report cannot be made to start with the latest date. There needs to be a way to get date descending and within each day time descending, or date ascending and within each day time ascending, its a basic reporting approach and how you want to easily review a logbook.
Yes it’s very strange. At first I thought the logbook wasn’t recording my flights. Then I realised I just wasn’t seeing them due to the really odd sorting behaviour.
Like so many aspects of 2024’s lack of polish, this is yet another overlooked detail.
See existing report: Logbook columns fail to sort chronologically
This to me is one of my two major irritations with MSFS2024. Typically when I did coding, the first job was to get it to work. The lack of polish in the interface was unimportant to me at that stage, stuff just had to work. The next task was to refine the interface. I often get the feeling that they stopped after the first stage and the UI is dysfunctional.
My other annoyance? Changing the UI and functionality from what was logical and working in 2020 to something that is illlogical and not 100% functional.
