Seems to be happening when the connection to Simconnect is established. I was able to reproduce by setting the simconnect IPv4 scope to “global” and just connecting Spad.Next from a remote computer or from a local computer. Same result.

FSUIPC7 is also crashing it. This seems to be a showstopper to me. A lot of folks are running these apps to connect apps and peripherals.

Well, the problem is now even when I stop being a Beta tester through Steam, I am getting CTDs! That’s bad!!!

Really makes you wonder what configurations the developers are using. Spad.Next and FSUIPC are pretty common tools for more serious sim fans with lots of peripherals.

Kind of surprising this kind of show-stopper crash on launch bug could get through. I get this is a BETA aimed at finding things like this but says something about the development environments they are using.

Thought I was the only one. Been trying to figure out the problem since about 2 pm.
just came here to report it when I saw that others already reported it.

The scary thing is earlier I tried going back to the release build and had the same issue. So MSFS is now borked for me.

Welcome to the club. Same experience, MSFS is now unusable for me, I even did a re-install. CTD is the only response from MSFS.

Everything is fine until you open Spad immediately msfs crashes on the desktop and my Community folder is empty.

Yeah. I’m pretty much dead in the water at the moment. This stinks.

As Spad.Next is essential for me, I am out of Beta Testing until this is fixed.
And I do not mean fixed in 2 Weeks, or much worse, fixed with SU10 in 3 months!
I mean ASAP, please.
THANKS!

Yes I know this is a beta.
But even I am able to give my beta testers a daily build.
If a real showstopper slips through, even 2 daily builds.

Hi, Where can I find simconnect file? I have a backup of the previous ver. of MSFS, but not a guru. I have no idea where to search for simconnect files.
I would like to try the previous ver. of sim connect files.

I was able to leave Beta and have no crashes with Spad.next anymore.

I did a complete Backup of my FS-2020 installation, not only the packages.
Btw, I am on Steam, this might give a difference. You can see my folder structure here:

Steam - FS-2020 - SU9 is a copy of Steam - FS-2020 + the SU9 Beta files.
Big plus of this: To change Beta - Public branch you only need to close Steam, and rename the folders.

No I run FSUIPC version

The previous thread about this bug was closed by a mod (instead of merging the threads or whatever), so I have to chime in here: FSUIPC7, CTD on SimConnect_CallDispatch.

I sure wish there was a way to revert to the release version (SU8) without a complete reinstall.

Nothing to add to that. I’m very annoyed as this breaks all my hardware functionality and makes the sim totally unplayable. This was supposed to be a stability update, guys!!!
