SPAD.Next Profile Documentation for Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo

This thread is a collection of SPAD.Next profile documentation made for planes using the Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo combo. Each profile description will have notes at the top indicating specifics for the plane and profile logic. More profiles will be added as they are published and refined. Feel free to share feedback below, not all may be taken into account. You may make your own variants from my profiles.

These profiles are posted on the online profile database hosted on SPAD.Next and are all made under the author name FlyingCookie#6508.

Before using these profiles

A few considerations/assumptions have been made when creating these profiles:

  • This is for people flying with a Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo. It is assumed you have rudder pedals (profile in MSFS).
  • The view system is restricted on MSFS, meaning SPAD does not have access to the camera system. All view bindings are left as native MSFS profile bindings. The native MSFS profile bindings are otherwise empty to avoid double binding issues.
  • The Honeycomb Bravo will remain in its 2 Throttle, 2 Propeller, 2 Mixture axes setup to keep things convenient. On certain planes, these axes may be repurposed (ex: C152 prop = Carb heat axis)
  • I will attempt at making the AP panel & Annunciators work, but is not a guarantee for each plane.
  • I always try to find variables that can be set rather than toggled to avoid desync between switch position and function.

To create a new empty profile, while in the Control Options in MSFS, open the Preset Manager (shortcut M) and click on the + sign.
image

You may then follow the same setup as I have, or make your own. The only yoke bindings assumed for the cameras are the 2 forward facing white buttons (on yoke itself) & the hat switch (# 15, 16, 23 in profiles).

Reserved Post #2 - just in case

Great idea for a thread with a collection of good profiles! Thank you for your efforts creating and layout them!

Have to say this - what a godsend this is - for those of us struggling with profile issues or just loading up a flight and forgetting to change the profile for the plane I’ve decided to fly, this just makes things so, so much easier. I have seen the struggles you have gone through to get these as fleshed out and useful as possible and I for one, can’t thank you enough for all the laborious hours spent doing this. I am sure many others will come to appreciate these profiles as well.

Thank You, Sir!

Looking forward to using some of your profiles @FlyingCookie650! I hope you don’t mind that I mention here a couple of profiles that I recently published to spadnext’s online profile list under the author name “DiscoStu#7239” for the PMDG-737’s (700 and 800) and the Fenix A320. My profiles are for both the Alpha and Bravo (I don’t have the Charlie pedals yet  ). My profiles have full descriptions, are meant to be functionally similar so you get some consistency, and I take a similar minimalistic approach to having mappings needed in MSFS. The idea is to never have to switch MSFS profiles regardless of the aircraft you’re flying. I know how much work goes into these profiles so thank you for sharing yours!

Not a problem! We need to help each other in making profiles that are useful and accessible
Appreciate the kind words, these profile do indeed take quite a long time to make.

G1000 NXi AP for Honeycomb Bravo Snippet - Snippet #7556 published!
I wasnt planning on adding snippets here, but since most of my profiles dont hold an AP yet, it made sense to create one. You can add the snippet to add G1000 NXi support for the planes that have one. Enjoy!

Great idea, wish someone can make an 787-10 profile for the bravo.

I’m currently not planning on making profiles for long haul airliners, but maybe that is something @DiscoStu987 could look at?
