Spitfire Problem on take off- May Day - May Day

Hi folks I am quite mad to fly this monster but after updating it a lose control and it turns lefts in such a way I can´t roll.
Enclosed there is a link of this problem.

Any hints
Best regards

You appear to be putting in too much power initially, spotted that straight away. The torque effects are very strong on the Spitfire and you need time for the airspeed to build so your flying surfaces can counteract them.

Don’t exceed 4 bar manifold pressure when commencing your takeoff run, make sure you’ve got a little right rudder trim to counteract the swing. You need to feed in a LITTLE right rudder to keep it straight too. It helps also to hold the stick back until you’re moving. Once everything is under control you can gradually feed in more power, but she’ll take off with 4 bar given a long enough roll.

Takes a bit of practice but the Spitfire was, and is, well known for it’s sensitive ground handling. But translated to it’s airborne capabilities you can see why it was every pilots dream aircraft in it’s era.

Just don’t expect it to fly like a C172!

Hi Terrylawdinn,
Tks for your ultra fast and kind help/answer
It´s a kind of frustrating I was flying it normally and after the update it became a nightmare
I tried to accelerate it gently but there is 2 factor I could noticed:
1- After a ertain velocity it goes left
2- I can not level the airplane - quite odd
Enclosed you find the images of what I am saying.

Why are you giving it right stick i.e. attempting to roll the aircraft to the right - as evidenced by the aileron positions? Are you perhaps trying to control the direction with the stick rather than the rudder? Won’t work I’m afraid, rudder for direction. Unfortunately your vid doesn’t show the rudder so I can’t comment on anything that might be happening there.
Keep the ailerons level and only counteract any tendency for it to lift a wing. However two things come to mind - are the ailerons operating in the correct sense i.e. left stick = left aileron up, right aileron down. Check for correct control movement - it’s possible that the upgrade may have caused a reversal of axis.
Second point is an old favourite - check you are running the “Modern” flight model and not the Classic. Again updates have been known to change settings within the sim.
Hope that’s of use.
Terry
