Hi,
I waited with this thread for three updates/hotfixes but would like to bring up again one noticeable drawback when using VR:
in contrast to using a normal monitor (where the rwy lights are super crisp, apart from the fact they are always on even on CAVOK conditions) the rwy lights in my HP G2 are always nloated and blurry, not only in the distance.
While all other objects like scenery, cars, buildings are sharp in the near and inthe distance, those blurry lights are distracting quite a lot, see attached screenshot.
Is anybody experiencing the same problem?
Has anybody found a workaround?
In the VR settings there is no switch/slider for “depth of sharpness” as is in the normal monitor settings.
Anyone any ideas?
Not sure if it’s possible but you’re very slightly off of 16:9 and widescreen tends to cause this.
no, this is a screenshot of my VR view with a HP Reverb G2. If you zoom in a bit you may see the blurred blurriness better.
The lights are also blurry on non-VR displays above 1920x1080 (4K, super-wides, multiple displays with nVidia surround).
There is a separate thread about this bug, since the release, hundred of votes - Asobo pretends to be unaware. I would rather not expect a fix anytime soon.
The real issue is that runway lights must not be ON during the day… not solved yet.
