I’ve been getting driven crazy by what sounds like a rough running engine. Originally I thought it was an engine failure sound. But now I think it may be a bug related to external airplane sounds. It only happens on the ground or a minute or so after take off. It’s just loud and doesn’t seem to have any spatial positioning. It overpowers my own airplane’s engine.
Are there any known bugs involving this?
It could be an older type airplane I have in my inventory.
I think it would be a good idea for you to do a screen recording and share it with us here. Just so we can hear the exact same thing you’re hearing and have a better idea to identify the issue and provide solutions.
If you are using Nvidia GPU, the GeForce Experience app is good enough to capture screen recording, and you can upload it to YouTube and share the link with us here.
That would be a strange one since the TBM is a turboprop.
I forget the settings, but I do have the non generic
AI multiplayer aircraft enabled. I’ve been thinking of turning it off as it seems to favor the MSFS branded liveries. So the airports are full of pastel colored airplanes.
I have that same issue and it drives me crazy. It sounds like a diesel generator is running right outside the cockpit window, and it is LOUD. I have heard it with the PMDG 737, H-Jet, Kodiak, basically each of the planes I have used recently.
Yes, that is exactly what it does. Funny, I just presumed it was a problem with my system, never even considered that others were having the same issue. Hopefully we can find a solution now that it is being openly discussed!
Do you own the D17 staggerwing. There is a bug with that. I own it and if there is AI one running, you pass by it and the sound stays. There is a mod on flightsim.to for this.
