Strange time settings when initiating a flight

I just noticed a strange issue when setting the flight conditions for a free flight. Look at the screen shot below! I dragged the time pointer from the very right side towards the left to give me more daylight during the flight but I do not understand what the 6pm label where I put the marker is about. I thought this would be the time of day what I wanted so I dragged it to 12pm but that would result in me flying in the dark!

Look at the top of the screen shot, there is the actual local time! Why on earth is the scale not synchronized with the actual time I want to have? Maybe someone can help to explain this, is it a bug or just me being confused?
