Stream Functional Instruments into iPad/Tablet

I guess the following would make more sense when playing in Xbox since the current state is very restrictive compared to PC.

But, since all is streamed in FS24, wouldn’t be convenient to create a native app (web based), that once synced with the current flight, you could choose which instrument to display on the tablet?

So for instance in a a320, you could display the MCDU, or the FCU, or other(s) in the tabled, and from the tablet you could control that instrument directly.

Check out Eyevionics. They have a system for PC and are looking into implementing it on XBox. Eyevionics.com

Does it have integration with MS2024 with the encryption issues?

Cool, looks promising. I wonder if MS will follow along this. This, for Xbox, would be a great addition since the TV is farther than a pc monitor, so looking at the instruments data its difficult and eye tiring. But having them next to you on the tablet would really help.

I too want to know if it works with FS2024 but also can you put the EFB on it, that’s the only thing I use really.

I agree it looks promising. Check out their website. I don’t have it yet so I can’t answer questions. It seems to work with PC and MSFS 2024. The download is free for IOS and Android. Eyevionics.com

I will only get it if it works with XBox X. They are supposed to announce whether it will work on Xbox in the next couple of weeks according to their discord.

I posted in their discord and I got a reply stating, it does indeed work with FS 2024 but the application does not use live data from flight simulator so it can’t stream the EFB to a secondary screen.

I think the streaming of the EFB would have to be an Asobo add-on. With all the bugs they have to fix… it may be awhile. Perhaps a wishlist item?

Supposedly there is an application to pop out EFB call spaceDeskConsole. I don’t know anything about it but read about it in another post in the forum.

EFB popped out in a tablet - issues with the touch interface - User Support Hub / User Interface & Activities - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

I tried out SpaceDesk today in my tablet. It’s pretty good but sluggish when mousing on it etc and the same scaling issues that using the window on a secondary monitor causes.

Eyevionics released this week for PC.
Xbox version IS coming, apparently they are fine tuning for compatibility

Cool, it will be great if they could create and connect also the MCDU

On PC I use Splashtop with any panel including the EFB on the tablet, on secondary screens I just drag the windows (obviously only those that the simulator allows interaction with can be active), I don’t know if it can be of help

Contact them and suggest the idea, very friendly company.

I hoped so, but at this point I really don’t understand why there isn’t an app like this for Xbox. I was convinced we’d have it included in the simulator. It’s obvious that any simmer would want an external app on their tablet to improve the experience. Even Simdashboard apparently gave up on Xbox. Do you know if there’s something similar today?

I was part of the test team for that app, unfortunately it never manifested for console, i presume that MS didn’t want to give that access to their network for that kind of program.
Hopefully in the future 2024 will allow for something like this.
