Once you get in, you’ll see how poorly designed this version is. For example, their best design choice for making any change on a binding is to force you to essentially ā€œsave asā€¦ā€ and create a new whole binding under a new name rather than just being able to make a change to an existing binding and save it.

That’s design and a very poor choice to not allow a simple ā€œSaveā€ when modifying a binding. If you make 5 modifications, you’ll have 5 different bindings to choose from. Unbelievable.

Design is universal and I really don’t want to continue to have to be handcuffed by their poor design choices.

and .. its also not possible to just ā€œquitā€, only save is available - wtf

did you really think it would be trouble free when 2020 is still plagued with problems

No you shouldn’t have to do that, it is only necessary when you edit the first binding, and I believe even then it asks if you want to edit it as a default binding.
You do not have to save each binding.
All others will bind to the new category, or at least mine did!

There is an existing, active thread to discuss control bindings issues and UI complaints here:

Like it’s designed by interface amateurs

I think this calls for
Dire straits MONEY FOR NOTHING !!!

After close to 48 hrs without being able to get past 97%, what finally worked for me, was installing in my C drive (OS drive). Unfortunately this is the drive with the least amount of space, so not a long term solution. I hope this works for someone else.

Absolutely not. I believe people/entities when they tell me who they are. A month ago Asobo told us who they were on this issue demonstrating that an incomplete alpha version was the best they had. I believed them and being retired from software development, knew that any alpha version in October for software on this scale wasn’t going to result in a finished product (finished as in ā€œfunctions as advertised in their promo videosā€) just one month later.

Tried re-installing the sim to fix the multitude of other issues I was having thinking this particular one would have been solved by now. Back to square one, stuck on 97%. What a joke.

I’m on Game Pass aa well and getting the same errors

I was actually able to start the sim on release day. But yesterday and today (Thursday) I’ve been stuck at 97% every time. I live in Huntington, West Virginia, in the US. I have no problems at all with any other software package.

Not even an Update on their X Support page. Absolute incompetent.

Over 24 hours and no update from Support. and they are still ā€œcloseā€ to resolving the issue…

Here in the 97% club today.

Got in after hours of queuing on Wednesday, didn’t even turn the PC on Thursday as everything was clearly so broken.

Thought I’d give it a go today but all I get is 97%. Leave it for 45 mins, no progress so restart and back to 97% again.

4th time now, 3 hours of stuck loading. I’m starting to think that repeating the same action and expecting a different outcome is causing me to go insane.

Hah and just now they update the discord to say everything’s getting better. So out of touch.

I was optimistic before I tried to start the sim this morning, but sadly optimism does not survive a solid dose of reality.

Stuck at 97% for about 16h aswell. Tried to reboot and re-install the game but still didn’t work

Stuck at 97% for two days already. I was able to get in only for a short period of time on 19th and 20th November. I don’t get pass 97% even when I try to start sim during minimum server loads.

I find it hard to believe it’s just a load issue. 97% all day, including multiple restarts. Europe and North America have been in bed much of the time and there’s only a relatively small number of users down here.

Maybe they should bring back the queue screen, I managed to get in twice on Wednesday after about 2 hours each time. That’s better than 7 hours of no progress.
