Hi all,
Not to beat a dead horse here, as I’ve been reading multiple horror stories and their solutions. But I’ve been stuck with the message “decompressing fs-base-cgl-0.1.75.fspackage001” since the latest “update” turned my game from a playable game, to a virus. I’ve wiped the game, reinstalled, nothing. I’ve followed the instructions in multiple other threads as well as the big headliner at the top of this page, but neither worked. In the case of the recommended fixes, I navigate my way to the “official” folder and there aren’t any files to delete. I would love to select the one file that needs to be axed, but it doesn’t exist anywhere.
Beyond frustrated right now. I’m not the most tech savvy dude in the world, but I don’t think I should need to be a computer programmer to be able to simply play a game that was working two days ago. I’ve tried the fixes in other threads, they either do not work, or are not applicable (ie, deleting the troublesome file - this file does not exist in any of the folders the troubleshooting says to look for them).
Pretty desperate for any help anyone can offer. I’ve tried pretty much everything I could find in other threads about this matter, no resolution. Feeling pretty defeated and seriously concerned I may never get to play the game again.
This is with Steam, if that matters. The game also worked flawlessly before the last update a couple days ago, as well, so I don’t see how it could be an issue with anything beyond the game files themselves.
