Stuck forever in loading screen after update - what to do?

Hey pilots and aviation fans,

since the update yesternight my Flight Sim is stuck forever in the loading screen and does not launch the flight.
No matter how long I wait, 10 minutes, half an hour … the loading screen is stuck forever and it is impossible to launch any flight.

I have tried setting all Data options to offline, switching off the internet connection and launching again - but nothing works.
This begun yesterday midnight after all updates were finished and I cannot fly anymore.

What else could I try to make the sim function again?

Thanks for every tip

Hi GamingCat2130

I am experiencing exactly the same problem as you. I have tried everything but problem remains. I wonder that I am being shown offline is the cause.

Rebooting program, computer, even tried loading a discovery flight and ensured Community folder is empty but nothing seems to fix the problem.

As requested by GamingCat 2130 I to would appreciate any advice/assistance to fix this problem.

Make sure you have nothing in the community folder first to try.
If load, then add in mods one by one.
Mine did this at first, it was a mod stopping it.

Excellent now it loads!

Thank you very much for this tip

Now the annoying task finding out which one of my 427 folders with mods prevents the flight sim from loading will begin.

Empty your community folder if you haven’t. That’s what fixed it for me.

Same thing happened to me as well. I had emptied my community folder before the update, all went well until I got to the load out screen……stuck on loading. Double checked to make sure the community folder was empty, completely shut down my pc, started up and tried again and I was flying in no time. Mods and add ons are the first place to check. Happy flying! (:crossed_fingers:t5:)

Same here, first time after the update all went smooth, today it is taken forever to load the sim.

welcome to the club

I am on the same problem but I have an empty community. Now I am reinstalling the entire Official folder, which was untouched by the way.

same ■■■■-storm at every update.

One thing is for sure — like MultiPrince said, double check your Community folder. I just went into Addons Linker and deselected everything but still had the problem. Turned out I had somehow loaded some apps directly into the Community folder sometime in the past. Removed them and went right into the flight. I’ve been adding some back individually but haven’t found any culprits yet.

Problem solved. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled MSFS.
Now everything is working prior to update with increase in fps, no stuttering and all mods returned to Community folder.
MSFS can be a strange beast a times but this update as far as I am concerned is an improvement on previus updates.
