Brief description of the issue:
Performance is perfectly fine anywhere else in the world however I can’t seem to load into a flight across the UK. When I click fly the loading bar goes about halfway and then will get stuck there until I force close the flight sim. My sim is all up to date including content manager.

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Loaded into a regular flight in new york and experienced a loadtime of less than a minute with about 35-45 fps on ultra. I attempted to load the same flight in a few airports across the UK but I get stuck on the loading screen.

Came here searching for this, load a flight (heathrow, I commonly fly from there and use it to benchmark), the loading screen pops up and the bar almost instantly goes to halfway, then within a second or so, the spinner stops and … nothing at all happens, the process goes to ‘not responding’.
Hadn’t thought to try other regions, I’d had a LOT of issues getting the app to even run to perform the update, and still some bootup issues with the app just insta-dying as the window first appeared, so assumed it was related. But having tried a flight from LFPG just now, can confirm it does work. I also successfully tried EGMC, so maybe it’s just Heathrow?
Its strange we all have the exact same issue! I was able to fly from Glasgow and I will try some other airports today to see which ones work and which ones don’t!
Could you try EGMC (Southend) I am also unable to fly from this airport and I can’t even reach it through the teleport option in the developer mode. This should hopefully prove it’s not only Heathrow.
Just manged to fly from Southend to Biggin hill…?? Must be an intermittent issue, I had shut down the computer for a while before returning and Southend to Biggin was my first attempt (mappings still all over the place though - this has been the most troublesome update for me so far…
I have just tried now and out of the multiple times i’ve tried since the SU5 release I can now fly from southend or heathrow. I’m guessing it’s some kind of temporary issue to do with the network and loading those kinds of assets…
I wonder if anyone else who has posted in this thread can see if it works now?
I tried yesterday and I managed to fly from Manchester and Newcastle but as soon as I went close to south and the south east I struggled. Not sure if anyone else is having the same problem
I have tried several times over the past couple days since the update, not once have I managed to load into EGMC, which is the only one I actually care about.
Well, that’s a SLIGHT lie, I did once achieve it, but FPS was crazy bad, and it looked not quite right, so I deleted my rolling cache and manual cache (EGMC would have been in both), and now it won’t load in there at all. So I think it’s possibly as others have implied, a streaming/server issue
Same issue here sadly. The loading screen after clicking on “Fly” freezes if a UK flight has been set up. The background music plays, but the blue bar and the text at the bottom of the screen just freeze. I’ve tried a fresh install of the game and with an empty Community folder. No joy.
MSFS was running really well before the latest update. Its a shame.
you need also remove your paid addons.
some stuff is no longer compatible.
i do not have any issues around londen and in the uk, i dont have any paid sceneries.
Well I had (currently doing a second reinstall of MSFS) the Landmarks London City Pack from orbx. Could that be the reason for the stuck loading screen on UK flights?
