HI. i’ve been downloading now for 2 hours and than the flight simulator just shutdown it’s self with no advice. i opened again and it sad that it missed only 3 GiB and than i clicked on update and than it sad “please wait”. than i waited and waited (40 min) but nothing happened
i’ve tried to reboot the pc and the flight simulator but still, nothing happened and it’s still saying “please wait”
what shall i do?
went through various error messages when finally able to install MSFS yesterday, first the install stopped with your very same error of a CTD, next time it stuck with “please wait” and finally at the blue progress bar, so a flavour of all :-). ultimately, I tried it again and it did download and install perfectly. so my advise: try it again 
as it could also depend on server availability on MS side…

sorry to hear, it took me more than 12 hours in total, finally getting it done around 11pm last night with no time left to actually FLY 
, hope to be able to take off tonight
