Stuck on the "Assistance Presets" screen - can't get past "Finish Setup"


ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons?
No mods have been installed, just clean vanilla game.

The “Finish Setup” button simply does not work.

Version: 1.1.9.0
Version: 1.1.10.0
Version: 1.2.7.0
Version: 1.2.8.0

Both version same issue.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time.

  2. Open game
  3. Try to finish setup

I have already tried resetting the settings, verifying and repairing the game and even reinstalling the whole thing, but nothing seems to work.

Same issue for me. Tried all suggestions posted but nothing works. Sticking to MSFS2020 for now.

Just to let you know, it’s still not fixed with version 1.2.8.0

Apparently is something related to windows date/time configs.

I set my date/time config to auto (it was manual), and made a manual sync.

Now the game is working here.

Nope, I just tried several date/time settings and it’s still not working. Also totally removed and reinstalled the game. I still can’t proceed the setup screen.

Yes, I have tried both. But without any success passing through the setup screen.

:frowning:. Maybe another point to check is your host file entries. Check the last section " GOOGLE MOD CONFLICT":

Nope I never used a mod, there is nothing in my host file. It is a bug. When I escape the game, it briefly shows the player character and then switches back to the setup screen. “They” should fix this, but not sure about the priority.. I think we need more upvotes…

I think you’ve tried everything so far. The last thing you could do is to open a zendesk ticket to get direct support from Asobo: https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I have exactly the same problem and tried all steps mentioned.
One time i pressed escape and the player customisation loaded fully, then switched back to setup screen.

I hoped it would be fixed with the last update. I thought I would be playing this game in the christmas holidays, now it just feels like 80 euros down the drain.

Has anyone found a fix for this? Date/time didn’t fix it for me
