I’ve been experiencing this since day 1. Sometimes cpu usage is at 75%-80% and I get 40-50 fps, and sometimes it uses 100% and I get 15 fps in same places. It goes like that until I close the app, and the only fix is restarting the game and trying again. If the cpu usage in world map is low, the game will usually runs at high fps, else I get 10-15 fps in game etc.
The freeze up stutters are the worst, fps drop to single digits for several seconds, kinda runes the realism. I also believe that some days are worse than others. Oh and when did my freeze up stutters start, let me think, I believe it was around the 18th.
Well, I went ahead and wiped windows completely, and installing msfs on m.2 rather than F:SSD. Will update on results tomorrow
When something like this suddenly happens to seemingly many people for no apparent reason, where are Asobo or MS with some information? Having to change stuff on a system which was working well is, quite frankly, ridiculous.
I’ve had stutters that look exactly like this since launch, and I have no idea how to fix them.
It is interesting that every now and again there will be a peep from a developer. What would be great is to have someone who can work between the forum and developers to get us a clue that they are listening and responding. The silence as they say, is deafening.
I completely agree, and it may seem a little extreme on my part, but it’s honestly unbrearable! The stutters remind me of Star Citizen around a year ago, the server was loading everything no matter how far away it was, and causing these huge stutters. There is a very small chance I could execute a landing if a freeze happened on final., which is highly likely.
Isn’t there a community manager? It seems like we’re left to diagnose and repair everything ourselves…
Well, after wiping my computer completely and fresh install of windows, the stutter is 100% there and as frequent as before. I can only think that it’s either Nvidia’s latest driver, Asobo’s servers can’t handle the traffic or one of my peripherals (analog) is triggering the freeze or none of these and we NEED dx12.
What a waste of time, and now I’ve gotta download the rest of my game library and everything else 
My main fear so far is that all dev and support get assigned to Xbox (console) development…

I read on youtube that stutters can be fixed by disabling microsoft defender
It’s been there all along in release version.

Only thing seen on message board are Mods hiding posts and talking about updated info on special days and dates that will then talk about future updates when to expect it and it fixes installation Issues.
Funny developers responded to my posts about direct contact then never returned to communicate with us.
I knew they would start abandoning us with support for alpha status software and no fixes for issues because they claim the functions aren’t broke…
I disabled Defender completely and had no luck!
Do any of you have the latest Simconnect installed?

I also suffer from this issue, but in my case stutters last for good 5-10 seconds.
I personally have never used the software you mentioned, and also have done a clean install of Windows!
I had exactly this yesterday and figured I’d been playing HOI4 too long beforehand so I rebooted the PC…and it did a ‘Windows is configuring updates’.
And after that…no more stutter.
Good to know I am not the only one who has noticed this since yesterday. My frame rate fluctuates a lot more than before and I am regularly getting freezes of 5 to 10 seconds including a few CTDs. I noticed my framerate is slightly lower overall compared with a few days ago at the same settings, aircraft, location and weather. Weird. I wonder if its coming from their servers and Azure being overloaded.
