SU1 beta bug reports of bugs which were not fixed now getting locked and archived

I really don’t like how SU1 beta bug reports of bugs which were not fixed in SU1 are now being locked and archived.

Are the numerous benevolent QA managers (We) supposed to repeat their work again for free for SU2 ?

I was in the middle of making a bug report and the forum was locked. ^^

The release build is the same as the beta and a better option would have been to rename it from beta to SU1 release and keep it open.

Some addons still get duplicates added to the content.xml. And I have some addons with too bright night lighting (again) like this:

Anybody know why this was closed/archived?

Hello @EndoLanikea,

The SU1 beta is now over. As is our regular practice after a beta concludes, any threads from the beta subforum are archived.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

Is the bug fixed in SU1?

Makes no sense if the underlying issue is not fixed in the SU release. Just another slap in the face of your unpaid beta testers.

Yeah tough luck.

External lights of aircraft during non-night scenarios still not fixed.

HDR still too overexposed, especially the adaptive brightness issue as you look down and back up.

Stutters and fps slowdowns in nearly all locations, especially PG areas.

Blurry ground textures or loading in really late, LOD problems, and draw distance issues as you pan the camera around. I’m still seeing a mish mash of large blurry tiles underneath my aircraft accompanied by surround sharp tiles. The detail just doesn’t want to load in on time when flying a fast jet at low altitudes or even moderate altitudes.

There’s still way too many issues at present. I suppose we’ll find out in 2-3 weeks what improvements are coming in the SU2 beta.

no bug report = no bug = happy devs.

Now each of these bugs need to be reported again, voted again and maybe Asobo will look into it. Unnecessary waste of time IMO.

Hello,
Why don’t bugs that were reported as part of SU1 and appropriately recorded in that forum then get moved across to the regular bug reporting forum if they are not fixed?

Wouldn’t that mean that all the dutiful reporting and data collection done by the community and reported in the SU1 bug reporting forum is now lost??

Whilst it may be your “regular practice” that doesn’t mean its the best way of doing business or shouldn’t be reviewed…

If a Beta bug is confirmed to still exist when the Beta ends, perhaps those related threads could simply be moved to the non-beta bug reports, and save everyone involved a whole lot of time repeating what we already found out?

Well might be annoying…but the info is not lost. Just copy it over and that’s it.

That would be ideal. Just duplicate or move them to a different category where they live on until they are fixed.
Just archiving them is disrespectful to the testers and users.

So archiving them technically means they are not getting fixed? Not getting looked into later?

This is really confusing. There’s still lots of issues with LOD, draw distance, textures not loading in properly or on time around the PG areas, overexposed HDR, lights not showing on the aircraft externally during non-night scenarios, etc.

No marketplace, no proper support for improving and updating third party aircraft - seemingly neverending list.

What HDR are you using?

Depending on which one, you will get overexposure if it’s HDR 400.

The best HDR experience with MSFS will be HDR 10.

I learned this the hard way.

I have an LG C3 4K which is HDR 10 and the sim is beautiful with perfect highlights and no over exposure.

However, if I sim on my main monitor which is a Samsung G9 OLED which is either HDR 1000 or HDR 400, the sims highlights get crushed heavily. Basically the whole sky is overexposed.

So I think this might not be a sim issue but rather hardware type.

I could be wrong.

Nice idea but the answers and votes are still gone

This is obviously why certain bugs were never fixed for fs2020 if this is “regular practice” because us the customers did the QA free of charge and listed bugs, then when Asobo’s time runs out to get them fixed they then archive the reported bugs and us the unpaid QA tester’s lose the will and don’t have the time to keep reposting what was either ignored or couldn’t be fixed. Like everyone else has said, don’t archive them because it’s rude and disrespectful. So why not just move to the next SU beta category or some other category so that they are still listed and shown that they will still be looked into.
If this “regular practice” continues then the next FS release will be just as bad I imagine.
One things for sure, I am never pre ordering again or even purchasing. Especially any premium deluxe version. Game pass only.

I know it would be better to find other ways but it’s something that you can do yourself.

Maybe you could add a link to the old issue in the archive?

It’s in the end better than nothing.

I am sick of reporting bugs only to have them reappear again and again. Get some decent QA, Asobo.
