SU2 beta (1.4.11.0) taxi path bug, planes wont move!

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Latest su2 beta 1.4.11.0 has serious taxi path bug. It occures in stock and 3rd party airports. MSFS engine is generating taxi path to runway wrong: straight to runway without using taxi paths. This is resulting AI aircraft not to move at all from parking to runway.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
No, it did work with SU2 beta version before 1.4.11.0 and works also with SU1.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
All AI aircraft with real time online ot AI Offline.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Vanilla.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time with same airports that have that bug. Not all of them have it.

  2. Traffic method AI OFFLINE OR use REAL TIME ONLINE (skip section 1)
  3. Go to EETN (Tallinn for example)
  4. Enable dev mode with “Debug AI path”
  5. Planes wont move. WIth SU1 they move.

I see what you’re trying to test, but since we’re testing the SU2 beta, we should avoid using any third-party modifications. Using third-party packages could interfere with the results and make it harder to identify actual SU2-related issues. The goal is to report issues and behavior based on the unmodified version of SU2, so we can ensure accurate and relevant feedback for the developers.

Ok, here is screenshot with Vanilla MSFS2024 and with real time online traffic method. Same problem, aircraft doesent move in ETNN.

I just tested vanilla EGLL with real-time online traffic and I’m not seeing the issue. Aircraft are moving normally on the taxiways and runways without any problems.

Can you test EETN Tallinn for me? Because if is working you in EGLL, that doesent mean it isnt bug if airplanes wont move xx% of airports. I will test now more airport and list here, what are not working.

Issue could be related to specific airports - especially those with incorrectly set up twy or other pathing data. It might not be a global bug but something affecting certain locations. I’ll check EETN when I get a moment and let you know what I find.

Yes i think so to. So my theory is: when there is not taxipath connected to end of runway, there could be bug. Like this airport:

Airplanes doesent land and depart from those and to those airport. Here is example airports: LGSM, LGIK, LGHI, LTBV, SKBU (Colombia), SKNQ

it is not area related, this is K34 from USA

But it is indeed bug. SU1 works great. This is LTBV what didnt work with SU2 beta but works with SU1.

This bug still exits with latest SU2 beta 1.4.12

Repro steps with AI OFFLINE:

  1. download this .bgl pack and plave to community: GAmod2024-Traffic_for_bug_list.zip - Google Drive
  2. Go to SKBU (Colombia) parking, open dev mode and enable Debug ai path. Traffic settings AI OFFLINE traffic set to ULTRA.
  3. see the behaviour like this image (planes dont move):

Im not in beta and can confirm gamod 2024 models dont taxi with the new version :frowning: some are injected at hold short for takeoff which is new behaviour I havent seen yet but they dont move. would you be so kind to upload the previous version. it worked great with non-beta su1.

Hmm, are you sure they did move with version 1.1 in SU1? That sound AI traffic problem and not GAmod models problem if they move to runway but stays there.

I can upload version 1.1 to google drive later this week if i remember to do it.

yes, on 2024 I was never on beta, and with gamod 2024 previous version on most airfields it worked, despite the taxiway bugs that sometimes occur in msfs2024. If I remember correct, it only used msfs2020 default models? Now the new version uses msfs2024 models and those are exactly the ones that seem to cause problems now…I also tried deleting the “disable Asobo aircraft” from community. for example at EDKB there are models spawning, Ive never seen before, probably the new models from msfs2024, like I said they also
spawn on the hold short , but not moving or taking off. Also overall quantity of traffic seems to be less than before. I am not complaining, just giving you hints so maybe you can fix further issues and continue your great work for ga traffic in msfs!

where users can participate in testing, instead of using the official bug reporting channels.

edkb for example. happens in vanilla and 3rd party scenery. both were good before (at least they somehow got to the runway and took off)

Didnt we discussed this last week? This happens also with vanilla and real time online for example in EETN Tallinn and you promised to check it out (https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/su2-beta-1-4-11-0-taxi-path-bug-planes-wont-move/716018/6?u=c0rsten )

I did test this with 1.1 and 1.2 version. I think problem is this bug https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/ai-aircrafts-misses-taxi-pathways/633937

and they actually did depart, but wrong direction that MSFS was wanting them to depart. And if you park west side of airport, they depart more. East side they wont depart because some bug.

MSFS2024 logic for taxipaths (AI traffic) could be better indeed. Here is example LTFE

And yes, AI aircraft doesent move in this airport aswell (real time online, vanilla, using MSFS2024 ai models)
