SU2. Instant CTD when TAA + HDR + FR + VR

Specs:

RTX 5090, Ryzen 9 9800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000 MHz, Pimax Crystal Light

Latest NVIDIA drivers, latest BIOS/firmware — all up to date. No background software running.

Issue:

When HDR is enabled in Windows 11 display settings , and TAA + Foveated Rendering are enabled in the sim’s VR settings , switching to VR mode causes an instant CTD (crash to desktop) — 100% of the time.

Disabling HDR in Windows settings resolves the issue completely — no crash.

Notes:

This issue has been present throughout every SU2 beta and still occurs in the final SU2 release. I had hoped it would be resolved, but the behavior remains unchanged.

Do the release notes say it has been fixed?

Weird they said it was fixed.

Pimax Crystal Light uses Fixed FR. it does not have eye tracking

What does that have to do with anything? Foveated rendering/quad views applies to all headsets.
