From the SU2 update log for the TBM930 “Added missing engine exhaust heat blur effect”.
Now it is even worse when you look outside left. Like someone trying to tear and lift the runway like a carpet. I’ve barely never seen such a terrible effect and Asobo sells it as a progress. Do they even look at their “improvements”?
Unfortunately, the problem remains in SU3 Beta. Until this is corrected, is there any way to disable or reduce the effect in the settings?
After the SU2 update there are problems that absolutely must be solved on the TBM930
-Excessive representation of hot exhaust gases coming out of the nozzles ( Heat Blur effect). Both in the inside view ( left) and in the outside view.
-Too many reflections on the windscreen of various white/yellow markings of runway or taxi way and sometimes white clouds. What degrades the pilot view
- In VR, the mouse cursor is completely shifted to the left to point a switch in the top of the cockpit. For example, you have to point at the Ignition switch to act on the AP/Trim switch located much more to the right.
- It is always impossible during the pre-flight visit to remove the pitot cover under the wings . You must use the QUICK PREFLIGHT option to resolve the issue.
To be corrected !
I’d like to add that the rudder trim is not working either !
I used to love flying this aircraft in 2020.
Was one of the best default aircraft.
Sad to see it in the state it is in.
How did it all go so wrong?
Same question here !
Hello MS/Asobo please do the Job please
With MSFS 2024 the TBM930 should be at least as functional as with MSFS 2020 and this is not the case after SU2
You could try this.
Is there a bug report of this issue to vote
This works great for me… heat blur is gone
You have to duck down using the number 1 key then walk up to the pitot cover and get close to it, then you can remove the cover, I’ve always done it this way and it works well.
TBM 930 is also absolutely unflyable on Xbox series X with 1-2 sec. lags every 5 seconds and I blame the effect for this (speculative). In the overall weak performance, the TBM 930 stands out which is very sad. tried it on su3 beta but no improvement on that problem.
