Hello, recently I cannot play MSFlight 2024. Other games including Flight 2020 works perfectly. I tried 1) lowest settings, 2) FFR enabled/disable, 3) MSI afterburner lower GPU/mem of 500 4) newest Nvidia drivers 5) different version of Pimax play 6) regedit with tdrdelay 7) OpenXR / PimaxXR 8) Beta MS Flight Su3 / stable - everytime crash ! Loading scenario Flight and DXerror to Windows when trying to enter sim. Newest drivers Nvidia ( tried 3 of them ). RTX 5090, Pimax Crystal, 9800x3D, 32GB DDR5, Motion DOF reality 6P.
@edit: I switched off UltraLeap OpenXR - and this fixed invalid call dx error - maybe could be usefull to someone else

For any new SU3 beta releases look here. While they don’t send a formal notification out to all beta users they will always post it in the Beta News section with a link to the release notes.

I always check that first when I log into the forum.

Hey, I use 200 near the ground and 400 higher up. I’ve also tried just using 200. Today I did notice more patches that weren’t loading in and a pretty narrow PG / autogen radius at 200. What I was appreciating more yesterday was the improved clarity higher up and consistency. Previosuly I would see large unloaded blobs all over the place. At 200 it’s still a bit better than the pic I responded to at ~2000 ft. But yes, not great all around and inconsistent with lots of popping in still, varying levels of detail…

I’ve been having good performance today and yesterday. I have noticed, and I think others have as well, performance is better a day or two after these releases. And as we know, performance is server dependent so it can vary day by day. Even hour by hour.

I’ve found a major performance decrease / hitching over Tokyo close to Haneda Airport. I’m guessing this is caused by the logging as I get no such performance loss anywhere else including over other large photogramametry cities such as London and New York.

Anyone else seeing this?

They should list it as a new Post so it displays with the list of “Latest”
or “New”.

I seem to recall people talking about that area in the previous beta before they announced the logging for this version, so I suspect there’s some other reason for the issues there.

Is it me or is the performance around Japan (especially Tokyo) horrid? Any day I go there, it’s slideshow simulator.

Anywhere else in the world, the performance is smooth.

Flying over NYC

Flying over Tokyo

Same plane (G111 Albatross), same settings (TAA, FSR3 Frame Generation, Ultra preset, TLOD 300, texture resolution high)

Huh that’s odd…I can’t think of anything I would have installed that would make Japan grind to a halt.

Do you have the Japan World Update enabled in your packages?

Maybe this could help

The Sim has always been stressed the most at NYC, London and Tokyo
Feedback for the Devs. If you want to ensure your updates are working stress test the Sim at the above locations in heavy airliners, with live traffic and live weather. It’s been the same since 2020, there is nothing new here, maybe the addition of helipads but you should be testing this too.
Also we are still waiting for traffic density sliders on Xbox, Jorg mentioned the removal of sliders was unintentional, so why is it taking so long to put them back in?

Wow, my system hates Tokyo too. Dang. This is WITH framegen, in the HU-16 Albatross, 1500’ over Tokyo Tower. Live weather shows sunny and scattered cumulus clouds. Lovely day really. :eyes:

Meanwhile, in heavily overcast NYC over Central Park, with SamScene3D NY City Times installed, along with RK Bridgers NY Bridges, Drzewiecki’s KEWR over there on one side of the island, MK Studios KLGA on the other, and Ini’s KJFK not that much further away over on Long Island …

Something is borked around Tokyo for sure!

Yep - not sure why there’s such a difference between our experiences.

Nope, just posted there: I tried disabling WU Japan and the World Helipads packages. But nothing helped: it’s still dreadful around Tokyo.

Could you do me a favor and check Seoul (RKSI-ish)? I feel like something is wonky there too (not as bad as Tokyo, but still noticeably worse than normal).

I’d be happy to but there are thunderstorms blowing through here tonight and I’ve shut down my sim PC. I can check tomorrow afternoon after work, if I remember.

Yeah, every time I land that A350 at Heathrow or similarly complex airports, stutter free on a 4K screen with all the other stuff on second and third 2.5K monitors with Spotify playing my favourite tunes, I have to say I feel kinda lucky to have experienced this sim after all the previous versions of Flight Simulators. The little bit of frustration has been more than well and truly worth it for me so far.
It takes little time to jump out of and back into Beta if and when I come across a bad one.

Seeing how the game is nearly unplayable due to the additional telemetry (Series X), is anybody willing to take an educated guess as to when the next beta will roll out?
