That is 100% correct. I also remember in the past when I reset my graphics settings back to default it would set it to High-End and my pre-cache was set to High. Now when reset to High-End the pre-cache is set to Medium. When I then set it to high I get the stutters in PG areas that I reported in my bug report a while back. At some point in SU5 beta they made that change and I have to question their reasoning.
