Okay, I don’t see this update. But the homepage has some loading bugs too for me.
Okay now I found the update but I had to modify the URL to www.flightsimulator.com/september
Without this September the site stuck on the 09.2 update.
Yes no helicopters were mentioned.
And no „world updates series“ and no „teaser“ as in a earlier development roadmap listed in early September.
Bell Huey (civil and military)
Bell Jet/Long Ranger
Bell 412
H120, H135, B407 would be great.
Robinson R22
H 160
EC 145
Cabri G2
AS 350
Here are some of the common helicopters operating in Australia and missions at the moment.
Bk117 Westpac rescue
Bell 212 fire bomber
Bell UH-1 Huey, nostalgic, Fire bombing & military
Bell 412 Mostly SAR & Aero-medical, Off Shore Rig work and transports
Aw139 Rescue & Aero-medical, SAR, Off Shore Rig work and transports

BO-105 Pol Air in Queensland
EC-130 / 135/ 145 rich kids toys, vip transports, ship to shore transfers
H130 training and joy flights
So their are a few to choose from. If their cold be a steam gauge variation and a glass cockpit variation, then that would be superb, personally happy to pay for this to be done. If we could at least have one chopper out the door soon that would be great, happy for that to be the Bell 206 B III.
From a UK perspective, the Leonardo AW189 and Sikorsky S92 would be good additions thanks to the Coastguard uses.
Additionally, the S92 are a mainstay of the North Sea oil/gas rig crew flights (why not add the oil rigs in also with challenges based around these in varying weather conditions).
Bell 412 and its variants for sure
Any little helicopter to see the cities with photogrammetry
I think we need the ubiquitous R22 and R44 as they have revolutionized helicopter ownership and training.
I guess the Bell 206 Long ranger is the historically what everyone thought what a helicopter was.
Then you have to have the EC130 from Airbus these are just amazing machines and revolutionized what a helicopter looks like and Cabin space and safety.
If you have ever watched Magnum reruns you have to have Huges 500!
The Blackhawk and The Huey ( Bell 205) would be essential to tell the story .
I guess the twin engine Civil is ruled by the EC135 without a doubt.
What about twin rotors, well probably these will come from third party devs.
So my list
R22
R44
Bell205
Bell206
Blackhawk
EC130
EX 135
Hughs 500
Well i cannot get enough of UH-1 and i will be so happpy to fly by her here , but as we know the performance of UH-1H is not enough for mountain area
My suggestions are :
Bell 206 & 407 ( Civilian )
Bell 212 & 214 & 412 ( Civilian )
Boeing ch-47 chinook ( Iconic Big helicopter )
and …
Great list. Interesting that the Bell 206 B III has the longest list of missions.
Finnally somebody said the Bell 429. That was the last good helicopter in FS9 and FSX modelled.
I want my goldfishbubble back.
My short and sweet list and why:
R22/44 - trainer
MD500 - sight-seer
B206/407 - another trainer/all purpouse
A Eurocopter - S&R type stuff
An Agusta Westland - VIP transport stuff
Maybe a working helicopter (logging, lift, etc)
First of all, thank you to everyone who still brings ideas and suggestions here.
But why this topic will closed if no new posts are written within a month, I don’t quite understand? Maybe a moderator can enlighten here?
So it’s best to just keep posting
Back to the topic:
The selection here is very good, my absolute favorite remains the AS 350 B3
The AS 350 B3 is probably the best-known helicopter in Europe. Almost every major helicopter company owns at least one of these. He is a real agile workhorse for many tasks. This is probably one of the reasons why it has the name “ecureuil”, which means something like squirrel
Here is a nice video for the term “agile workhorse”
Even though there is the H135 community project, I think MS/Asobo should totally make an EC-135/H135!
It’s such a nice helicopter and the community project should prevent them from doing a standard-MSFS Eurocopter 135 =)
Boy, are you in luck!!! P.S. this is the first and only helo I’ve ever flown in in real life.

as important as having helicopters is for MSFS - having good reason to fly them is also important. Medical evacuation missions and locations, wildfire suppression, SARS missions, heavy lift missions etc…
all would be critical to helping get players invested who would not otherwise be interested in flying them.
Two of the most incredible flying exhibitions I ever have seen involved real world helicopter operations. One was a life-flight rescue in the center of Qualcomm stadium during the Laser light and fireworks ‘Skyshow’ when an overindulged fan fell off the plaza level onto the field level and had to be taken to hospital. The pilot came in very hot over the top of the stadium bleachers and followed the curving wall of seats and people like a roulette marble down to the field for the ‘dust off’ which in its entirety took about 2-3 minutes.
The other was a heavy lift in the middle of our downtown high-rise financial area - hoisting a commercial HVAC unit to the top of a new 50 story building. Pilot had to hover between the buildings on ‘A’ street with the rotor wash creating all kinds of turbulence as the unit was strapped to the winch. I was standing about 30 feet from the front of that Sikorsky H55 while that guy was conducting 6 orchestras - both hands and both feet in constant motion - even as that heli hung there rock steady - as if it were a walk in the park. Incredible.
