For all other aircraft, I have ‘the usual’ keybindings on my peripherals, but also do a lot in the cockpit directly.
Would this not work with the super Connie, especially using the controls in the cockpit directly ?
I propably just fail to get what you’re trying to say 
Let me try to explain, the pitch control and the fuel mix controls are at the flight engineer seat, which is backward of the pilots and sideways, so you can’t see all equipments and window when changing them.
And in the super connie those have to work together to not overload and blow your engine up and handle thrust for climb or descend. This you need to change it constantly in flight.
Since the plane is a three crew member one you basically can’t do everything in the cockpit view, at least you need to bind keys for
These work together make the normal thrust/throttle control as you do in say a Cessna or A320 which only need a throttle key
Videos of the upcoming Red Wing Conny don’t look bad at all. Bit rough around the edges visually compared to the DC-6 but far better than I anticipated.

Really interested in the experiences with this one. I just watched the teaser, and the textures are FSX like in the video. Hopefully they are better in this release, as it is certainly not cheap at all.
more than 50 Euro and more than the DC-6 cost me in their introduction offer.
I’ll wait for a sale propably and see if the product support in the next months is above PMDG levels even, like the price.
Yeaaaah… that’s a pretty steep price considering it’s more than PMDG’s fully complete DC-6 and is an early access version. I will be waiting for reviews.
I’ll be passing on this alpha release for its current price…
In the meantime, could I ask anyone who has bought it what the performance hit is like? Which other add-on would you liken it to in terms of your average FPS?
I was getting 40fps in the VC on the ground in a super heavy and modded area. This aircraft is fairly FPS friendly.
I gotta agree with SavvySigma. A conversion of the EUR 43 to USD showed $49. This aircraft is competing with the PMDG DC-6, and that’s quite a high bar to be judged against. From the videos I watched, I don’t think the Connie is ready to enter the arena yet, at least not at that price point in my opinion.

easy to see that a ton of work went into this project - and more will be done yet, according to the developer. I think the price point has more to do with the subject matter than the work itself. A native MSFS Constellation is going to appeal to any number of nostalgic prop-liner fans.
I can’t bash the either work or those members of the community - the work looks decent and should yet be improved upon, and the heart wants what it wants.
If this were a Grumman Albatross of the same quality at this price I’d likely buy it today.
Will buy 100% when its complete, even if it is $100. But I cant keep buying Early access, I just want a complete plane now when I spend money. The whole Electra from AH has really put me off MSFS for now…its a shame but it has. I have been playing Forza 5 Horizon, Guardians of the Galaxy, and I have pre purchased GTA the Definitive collection.
I also have gone back to Sim racing. Once the PMDG or the Fenix arrives I will be back, I still do flights in the FBW Bus as that is just getting better and better now, and since I have deleted XP11 that’s the best I have. But I just cant keep supporting things like this, I just feel like I pay up, then I am the most evil person in the world for asking for what I have been told I have paid for or will get…So I am just going to wait ( I am not saying this dev is like this) I am just saying in general.
there has been a lot of unnecessary frustration linked to aircraft addons in MSFS - no way to deny that.
I am hopeful that once the simulator is through all of its ‘growing pains’ - if we can refer to its ongoing early development that way - that much of this will cease.
Until then I think everything developed for it is literally a ‘work in progress’ by proxy…
Of course the other problem is the handful of shady / shoddy outfits that are just hustling their half baked ‘products’ into the new unsupervised marketplace without any quality standards in place.
THAT really needs to change soon (is a huge mistake from my POV)
Just wondering if any of you have had trouble getting a power cart. I tune Com 1 to ground and go to the ATC menu, but request power cart isn’t listed.
Edit> I guess not all airports have power carts. She starts up well enough without one, so not a big deal.
