So I meet the minimum requirements for msfs 2020 and it always pops up with “system minimum requirements not met” and runs like trash. I have an i-7 4770, gtx 960, and 16gb of ram. why does this happen and how do I fix it?

gtx 960 is pretty weak. What i7?
Could it be that you need driver updates or windows updates?
I’ve got a gtx 960m on my laptop running it, so that shouldn’t be it imho.

Hmm. It’s an older rig, so you won’t get top level performance, but idk. As @bluebananas4183 said, check your driver/system updates.
Its a shot in the dark but maybe your monitor is plugged into the onboard iGPU and not the 960?
just updated to latest drivers and system updates still doesn’t change a dang thing
Everything is plugged in correctly. Both of my monitors are in the graphics card
Bandwidth on your internet connection? Less than 5 MBPS is below minimum. Does not specify if it is Up or Down. I would think that is down but may be both. I’ve noticed this needs to be ACTUAL bandwidth, not ISP “5MBPS speed tier max” as most ISPs generally only guarantee 80% of stated BW.
Also check your Windows version. Needs to be 1909 or higher.
No issues for me,. I got the same cpu and ram, however my graphic card is gtx 1660 super, I get 35-45 fps 1080p with default high settings ingame
