Hello. I am having a problem with the T-45C. I recall an update for the aircraft in the past few months. Unfortunately, before and after that update, when I selected the plane from my hangar and went to change the livery, I got a CTD as a result. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the aircraft to see if it would fix itself, but the problem still occurs. I don’t know if you are aware of this problem or not, so I wanted to let you know. I am on the Xbox Series S.
Here is a link to the Orbx forum, the distributor of the T-45C
It will probably give you more info, and there is a link there to their support as well.
Good luck!

I had a similar issue with it crashing when loads into any flight no matter what do and reported it. Neither IFT or Microsoft can repeat it appearently (which I find bizarre given its 100% crash rate with me even with a new install). I haven’t tried changing the liveries in hanger but that’s very concerning.
I love this plane on PC but on the xbox series s its probably my worst ranked purches simply because never worked for me since got.
yes. this is correct.
i had to uninstall it
one of my units has only the base sim installed with no add ons
i install add ons one at a time and test them
this is in the shop with the dc-6
I don’t believe that IndiaFoxtEcho frequent these forums and Orbx will only direct you to IFE anyway.
IFE do have their own discord page so you could ask for help there however IFE themselves state:
“However, if you have bugs to report and you want them fixed, please either send us an email or a PM on Facebook - it is way easier for us to track the bug and squash them.”
Okay, so I learned some lessons over the past few days.

True to form, Orbx was no help at all. I think it would’ve been an option were I on the PC side and purchased the aircraft through their marketplace, but as we all know, there is no such option available on the Xbox side. No offense, but for whatever reason, the fact that I’m on the Xbox seems to get overlooked a lot when folks are offering solutions. Just an observation. Also, Orbx did direct me to IFE. Good thing I was already one step ahead of them at this point.

I contacted IFE via the email address on their Facebook page and received a very reasonable response from Dion. IFE is aware of the problem, but they don’t know what to do because Microsoft can’t replicate it. Dion said he would bring the issue up to Microsoft again, thinking that the problem lies with the encryption of the marketplace.

Around the time of SU7 is when I noticed the problem. It might have started just after the update, but for some reason, it seemed to have happened during the week leading up to the SU release. I could be wrong about the timing. I know IFE released an update a few weeks after SU7, which I thought was a fix to the CTD issue. Before SU7, I could do cold and dark start-ups, take off from a runway if I wanted to bypass the start-up, and select liveries with no problem. As with all things MSFS, issues seem to happen shortly after a Sim Update is released, but that seems to be the norm. The big question is: How long will it take before an update is released to deal with this problem?
It’s positive that Dino from IFE is aware of the issue, but negative that Microsoft could not replicate it.
This is very similar to their recent issues with the F-35. Microsoft confirmed that they could not replicate the issue and stated that they could also see nothing wrong with the code. In the end the root cause was never identified but IFE made changes their end which removed some HUD content which may have been triggering the crash.
I have the T-45 and having not flown it for a while took it for a spin after your post and being on PC I had no issues, clearly there is a difference between the PC and XBOX code and PMDG discovered that with their DC-6.
Hopefully IFE resubmitting this to Microsoft might result in them finding the issue, as the plane did work before SU7 and something Asobo introduced in SU7 is causing the crash.
I personally think that IFE are currently one of the best developers for MSFS, they do listen to their customers although not often through the forums as these are not considered the correct method for 3rd Party Support. IFE got a lot of hate from the community here regarding the F-35 because people failed to realise that.
Anyone else reading this thread that has the same issues with the T-45C on XBOX please do as @KermitDeFrog881 and contact IFE through email or their FB page. The more examples they have the better info they have to pass to Asobo.
I don’t believe that Asobo themselves realised the differences between PC and XBOX that 3rd party developers were encountering until PDMG engaged with them. There are some interesting comments explaining this on the latest Twitch Dev Q&Q at 01:04:00
I’m on Xbox series x. Having the same problem now, if i do a reboot on my Xbox i usually can do 1 cold start and fly for 1-2 hours then my hud turns off and shortly after i CTD.
Also if i try to fly the T-45 after doing some sightseeing in a nother plane the game starts to lag alot when chosing the T-45 from the hanger, and changing liveries takes minutes. Then when i try to fly the game will CTD before i load inn.
This started to happen 3-4 weeks ago, before that time i used it alot but now it’s unusable.
I’m on the Series S and have been flying this plane on a daily basis with no CTD so far. Is it maybe an issue with conflicting addons? I only have a few planes and have not picked up any scenery or airports since a lot of people say those can cause CTD on Xbox.
As a side note is there a guage somewhere I’m missing for fuel in the plane or is it only shown in the MFD engine page?
It CTD’d consistently for me from a totally fresh install so it’s definitely nothing to do with conflicting add ons sadly
Good day
This is Dino from IndiaFoxtEcho.
My apologies but we usually do not have the time to go through all the forums, this is why we kindly ask you to contact you directly to our email address indiafoxtecho at gmail.com
As for the CTD of the T-45C on X-Box we have few reports of such cases, although it seems to work fine for most users.
We have been discussing the problem with Microsoft, but as of today we do not have a solution - as neither us nor Microsoft could replicate the issue. We have specifically told to Microsoft to test it on X-Box series S, and we had a 0 % reproducibility out of 15 tests.
If I had to guess, the problem may be due to Microsoft encryption process - but it is just my guess and I cannot test or replicate the problem.
I have been instructed to Microsoft to direct any user with that problem to Microsoft Flight Simulator support.
Also, please note that X-Box deployment is entirely done by Microsoft: we just send them the files, they test it and if they consider it good for release they deploy it on the Marketplace.
Unfortunately, there is also little the user can do on the X-Box - as for it is nature the software is not built to allow the user to modify the addons or reconfigure them.
this may be fixed in SU8
retesting in 8 on xbox x
i think am able to get it to work
Hi, Can anyone help me to climb above 26000ft in the T-45C? I am at full throttle and yet cannot seem to maintain a positive climb rate above 26000ft. The plane stalls and falls. Don’t know what I may be doing wrong? Thanks for Helping.
Are you doing a straight climb to altitude, or are you leveling off and letting the speed build up before climbing again?
Well, I got the instruction from ATC to expedite my climb when I am at 20000ft. I watched my AOA and kept it as low as possible. I crawled up to 31000ft and still had to ‘expedite’ my climb to FL380. The T-45C has a ceiling of 41.500ft. I wonder how to ever get there in time for ATC not to be on my back …
I am trying to do a straight climb yes.
@Zeanuck Any advice?
