Maybe the most immensely helpful post I’ve ever seen on this forum. Kudos to you for putting all of this together and sharing it.

Thanks for the feedback - I do hope it will help you. That was the goal!
Very useful even for other controllers to see what you need to map for different types of planes - easy to find the equivalent input because of the logical layout and good descriptions.

Hey guys, with version 1.1.0 we can use the reverse on the detent. Now that stopped working for me since yesterday. In training mode does not show up, in game does not show up… it is just like in the previous version. Am I alone with this one? Does anybody else have the issue?
It is a known bug. You need to exit the FS, unplug the V1F, after a few seconds plug it back in, and restart FS.
The detent button is not shown in training mode. It shows instead your last pressed button, independent which detent button you use.
You’re right, @Bruchpilot3550 !
Although recently, I have skipped the “quit MSFS” part - and it still works!
Hopefully it does for you, too.
I’m on Xbox…
Do you have your grid in excel format?
Actually, not anymore. I, myself, use this HTML table for reference.
Excellent. You and I clearly think on similar lines. I have developed a series of spreadsheets that have similar information. I am now going to do a detailed comparison of your aircraft profile groupings (and button assignments) and mine to see how they compare. A cursory look suggests there are many similarities. As a novice simmer myself I have been guided by the YT videos of Simhanger, Huddison etc.

Excellent! Let’s share ideas. Thanks for feedback.

Thanks very much for the very useful information you posted regarding the V1F profiles and settings for your planes and agreeing to "share ideas”.
I have now completed converting your HTML table into two Excel worksheets (V1 Planes & Profiles and V1 Assignments). I will try to load it onto the forum. On each of the spreadsheets I have added my planes and their settings for comparison purposes. I have also added a further worksheet (Flybeeson Hangar) which shows my planes, which were based on the Standard version of MSFS 2020 augmented by 5 aircraft recently purchased on the Market Place.
What struck me was how similar your V1 Assignments are to mine, but there are some notable differences.
Single Basic
You clearly have Rudder Pedals whereas I am using the V1F Yoke Trigger and Bumper switches for rudder and brakes. Consequently you have assigned your Triggers for zooming in and out.
My Buttons 2 & 4 for Autopilot Heading Hold and NAV1 Hold are simply reversed on your set up.
Our Camera Buttons are a bit different here and there, but this is very much a matter of personal preference. I am not sure I am completely happy with mine so may try switching to some of yours.
I have buttons for Active Pause (37) and Pause returning to the menu (8); which you don’t have.
You have buttons for Magnetos Start (38) and Toggle Water Rudder (9+ 40) which I don’t have. How does the Toggle Water Rudder work? Presumably you only use it when flying planes with floats!
I have Button 38 for Tail Wheel Lock as I fly several "tail draggers”.
Single Advanced
The main difference here is that you have generally switched to using the Quadrant levers whereas I have stuck with the Vernier style levers. Would that be because you find the QLs to be more authentic for these planes?
You have 4 profiles for Single Advanced whereas I only have 1. Also in some cases you have mixed Quadrant and Vernier controls. Do you think there is an advantage in having more profiles? (Another approach is to construct profiles for the more complex planes, or say planes with more engines, and then the less complex ones simply don’t use the extra facility).
Turbo Props and Jets
Apart from the differences already mentioned under Single Basic there are no real differences here between our profiles.
Kind Regards,
Alan Davies (Flybeeson)

Sorry this spreadsheet is unreadable on the screen but OK if downloaded. I converted the excel spreadsheet to a png file, but clearly it hasn’t worked very well. Please contact me with your email address if you would like the other spreadsheets and I will be happy to send them to you.
hello good evening, I would like you to share with me your settings, my e-mail: domingo.praesto@gmail.com
Thanks a lot.
Glad you got the spreadsheet with the settings etc.
Hi there!
First, SORRY for my belated answer - and thank you so much for having deep-dived in my settings. I did make some modifications since this initial version - so here it is. Hopefully, it is easier to figure out the settings name and applications.
Here is my response to your questions :
Indeed, I use my T.Flight HOTAS One (ThrustMaster) Rudder Pedals
Good observation - I also found mismatches in my own - maybe some still remain but I think it’s a bit better, now
My left POV is for the “default” views whereas my Right POV is for the “freelook” version - I do prefer this (more realistic since I do not have access to VR)
My startup buttons are now (for most planes) toggles - which I prefer. As for the Water Rudder, it is simply useless on planes without it - so I leave the key assignment there. Water Rudders allow you to turn on water more efficiently.
I also love to fly tail draggers - but I did not know there was such a function. I merely tried to pull on the yoke/stick as they seem to be doing in the real life - but I wasn’t satisfied with my results. THANKS! I’ll try that.
Attached is my actual version of buttons assignments - hopefully you’ll still find it useful. I also attach the airplanes along with their associated yoke configuration.

Hi,
No worries about taking a while to reply. I can see from the two files you have posted that you have been busy! I will examine them with interest, but there is a lot there so it might be for a week or so before I am able to reply. I will look out for planes with a water rudder - maybe my new Dornier Do J flying boat has one.
Regarding the Tail Wheel Lock I fly the Beechcraft Staggerwing which is a lovely plane. It has a TWL but unfortunately I don’t think the Lever in the plane that operates it works. Although someone on the forum did say it makes a difference when taxiing in a tight area. Certainly the lever is not linked to the right control button. The TWL is a feature of the real world plane checklist, but is not mentioned in the sim checklist which is disappointing. It is something that I hope will be fixed by the developer in a future update.

Hi,
I have completed a review of my profiles and have decided to adopt yours. I like the way that they can be used for all planes with whatever combination of Vernier and Quadrant Levers they have, which adds to the authenticity. The differences between your set up and mine are now very minor.
I think Turtle Beach should also adopt your profiles as a guide for newbie flight simmers. I initially set my profiles up by following YouTube videos which were very helpful, but did not accurately match the V1F throttle, prop and mixture controls to those in specific planes. There are a lot more combinations than I initially thought!
On the subject of Water Rudders again, have you got the Big Radials Grumman Goose? If so it has got a “Water Helper” which I have tried out and it certainly makes manoeuvres on water a lot easier.
Thanks again.
