Hi, I need some help with Teredo which currently is blocked and NAT not open also. Tried various solutions posted but nothing has changed/ worked.
However my question is multiplayer works fine and I appear to get photogrammetry also from comparing what I see to various screenshots on the forum, so does it matter that teredo doesn’t appear to work correctly ie status is blocked and Nat not open.
Any help appreciated, I didn’t actually know what teredo was until I read about it on the forum.
My internet provider is ipv4 also if that helps.
Thanks
NO It doesnt… I dont even have it on my PC and MP works fine. I went on an endless loop of googing installing it and trying to discover it etc etc etc freaking out that it may impact performance but in my experience it doesent matter.
Your MP is working fine, so you kinda answered your own question . ( comment not meant to be snarky or smart alecky)

If you’re behind a router and your computer has a private IP like 192.168.x.x, then Network Address Translation is working. You wouldn’t be able to connect to the outside world otherwise. You may not have the option to configure it in your home network, but it’s there.

Teredo seems to work when you set the client type to “enterpriseclient”. No guarantee you’d get an Open NAT though, it could be Moderate which is not what you want anyway. But it doesn’t really change things. I am not even sure why this is presented as a fix for blurry textures. If the sim servers were IPv6 only then without Teredo nothing would work, but that’s not the case.

Thanks for the replies everyone, very helpful.
I’ve come straight from FSX and the years of tweaking this and tweaking that.
Think I need to do more flying and less messing about with settings!
Thanks for your quick responses.
I see Teredo being mentioned multiple times as some kind of panacea for users with connectivity problems.
Teredo is a IPv6 tunneling protocol, to allow IPv6 connectivity to clients without native IPv6 capability.
If you have IPv4 connectivity to Azure, and the rest of the MSFS services that underpin it, then Teredo will do nothing for you.
I have Teredo disabled, and I’ve not had any connectivity problems.
