Terrain Details on PFD Now Missing (pic)

The PFD on the Longitude normally displays the terrain in front of the aircraft. I’ve found it very handy in low visibility situations. Today, I noticed it was replaced with a simple “blue sky” is up and “brown” is down. See picture below. Anyone else seen this and any fix? Running default Longitude - no mods.

Trick question?

Because you’re over water (right panel) and there is no terrain for some distance in front of you?

No that’s not it. In such cases, the terrain (ocean) is depicted as dark blue, not brown. Also, I’m just over the west coast of Florida, where the coast would have previously been visible in the distance. Thanks though.

Have you installed the WT mods lately? then you have to reenable Synthetic Vision. Click in the panel to get the options and turn it back on there.

Thanks so much. I have recently installed some scenery mods from the marketplace. I’m not clear what you mean by “click in the panel” to tenable it however. Can you clarify? Again thanks so much.

Click the HSI in the touch panel, the thing that shows you vor/gps course

enable synthetic vision. Screenshots are a bit overly bright due to HDR

Hehe did not look well enough. TBM not B350 ^^ Basically what the guy above me posted

Thank you so much for this helpful information. I realize now, with your helpful input however, that I haven’t installed the Working Title mod. I’m just flying with the default Longitude. I did, however, install the airport scenery package from the Marketplace the other day (along with a few new airports), and now see no synthetic vision (btw, thanks for reminding me that’s what it’s called!). Any other ideas for why this is now missing? I’ve found it very helpful, especially for taxiing and avoiding ATC induced CFIT lol. Maybe I should uninstall that airport scenery thing? In any case, I appreciate you taking the time to help.

I’ll just grasp at straws here, but did you check the very far left panel to make sure SVT terrain is “on”??

Regards

Just curious: in what plane are the two pictures taken?

Should be the King Air B350

Correct, this is the king air with the improvement mod from WT. Just a little oversaturated because the screenshots were made with HDR on

This was the problem. Thank you so much!

The interface between the TBM 930 / Longitude and the King Air are not identical, so the SYN TERR settings are in different places.

The King Air uses the G3X Touch.

The TBM and Longitude use the G3000 (The Longitude emulating a G5000 by virtue of the additional PIC and COP GTN touch pads).

Just a question, at the altitude you’re at in the first picture and considering the highest point of Florida sits at a mere 345 ft msl, what kind of terrain details are you expecting to see exactly?

I wasn’t expecting details. Just the presence of anything on the PFD. It would have previously shown something … anything. Anyway, problem solved.
