All true as far as I know. That server is for MP traffic only, and the only affect on pics would be which human pilots you might see if you have nameplates enabled.
Yes, it seems switching between low and high quality, even at 3600 feet.. couple months ago it was crispy clear, almost looked like a different game, I’m on the series x, fast internet and it got worse.

For the past few weeks it seems that i am getting very frequently problems like this in various areas.
The internet speed is fine, the settings unchanged (LOD 200 or 300).
Is this something on my end?

It happens to me to, randomly.
Sometimes ground textures are ok sometimes not.
I think it’s (Microsoft) servers issue.

It’s not on your end. It’s all over the world. The PG looks absolutely terrible, and LOD is completely destroyed. That’s why you see complete flatness instead of buildings, and if they are there they are scarse, and looks like they have melted.

This is how London looks on Xbox with 500Mbit connection. Buildings are melted and many many pop in buildings and bad LOD. Playing with latest official build (not the Avionics beta).
Not sure why this looks so terrible since months…

Check the “data” setting to make sure the Bing stuff is active.
Thought id post some more pics. Lately the problem has gotten worse on cloud. Nothing renders after about 2 miles or so. I log in every other day hoping for a change but nothing. In the pics I’ve posted there’s 1 showcasing my experience with the lod distance and the other 2 show how just 2 months ago the scenery was great compared to todays date. Before people start to say i cant run the sim on cloud well your wrong everything was AWESOME till the New Zealand update

It’s feedback logged, but not bug-logged.
As i have been saying for months, this is not a bug. It’s been degrading quality both visualy and performance for a long time. At least now we know why 2424242424. Disgraceful.

Thought id post more frustrations. Whenever I switch views the scenery has to reload itself in again every single time SMFH!!! Again it wasn’t like this just 2 months ago. Today I thought maybe I could deal with it but this refresh BS killed it for me. For some reason night time is great besides the time it takes for distant lights to load in everytime you look the other way and the scenery refresh is somewhat noticeable. Though I could fly at night since it hides most of these imperfections but knowing what’s going on behind the darkness I cant ■■■■■ do it

I see this phenomenon regularly when flying in Alaska and the Northern Territories of Canada.
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
The terrain looks better in the distance than it does directly around the aircraft.
Then there are issues like this where there are quality tiles butted up to poor quality tiles:
Also, there are oddities such as this where there are patches of poor quality textures in the midst of higher quality textures:

Asobo has investigated this thread and believes there is a combination of issues here and that the original reported issue was fixed in Sim Update 12. If you are still experiencing bad LOD in certain areas, please create a new thread with your specific location. Thank you!
