I’m not in the beta, but that’s one point to take a look at if anybody wants to test something.

I’ll try it later in the discus but it won’t be live weather conditions, for that you’d need something that can fly level over a large area.

But at what altitude should it fade out to be more smooth? I read somewhere to plan a flight 5000-8000ft above the highest obstacle. That means 5000-8000ft it should be almost no impact of the mountains? I checked, it fades out at around above 8000FT. It’s still some up and down variations though b…

Sounds about right … 6000’ above the peak should be about normal but high winds below will increase that

Yeah I should really get a handle on those tools … but really I’m just happy to have a glider that flies as expected (although I haven’t got around to expanding the yaw config yet - but I will)

Here is the waves in different windspeeds. It’s so many variables and the air is really different in all types of windspeeds. I think what they need to focus on is the thermals. To me those are the most complex to get correct. [varius winds]
